Image processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and image processing method which correct tone jump
In an image processing apparatus gradation is represented by binary or multiple values. There is a memory to store correction information including a correction value corresponding to a position of image data. Correction circuitry corrects the image data according to the correction value. The number of bits representing the correction value for gradation is larger than the number of bits used to represent the image data.

A shaping device is provided and includes a head portion that ejects a material of a shaped object, and a controller that controls the operation of the head portion based on ejecting position specifying data indicating a position to eject the material of each color, the ejecting position specifying data being data in which a color is expressed in a predetermined material color space. The controller generates the ejecting position specifying data based on input data in which colors are expressed in a predetermined input color space, and in the process of generating the ejecting position specifying data, performs a color conversion process of converting a color using at least a profile that associates the color in the input color space with the color in the material color space, and a color adjustment parameter which is a parameter used for adjustment performed for color conversion performed using the profile.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus comprises: an obtaining unit that obtains a luminance of an input image having a color reproduction range wider than that of a printing apparatus; a conversion unit that performs, for the input image, conversion processing of obtaining a value included in the color reproduction range of the printing apparatus and obtaining the luminance of the image after the conversion; and a correction unit that corrects the luminance of the input image, wherein the correction unit performs correction of the luminance of the input image based on a conversion characteristic between the obtained luminance and the obtained luminance such that an intensity of the correction becomes higher for a color that is not included in the color reproduction range of the printing apparatus than for a color included in the color reproduction range of the printing apparatus.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium storing program
An image processing apparatus comprising: a decision unit configured to decide a first color mapping method to a print color gamut for a first partial original based on a pixel value included in the first partial original and the print color gamut of a print unit and decide a second color mapping method to a print color gamut for a second partial original based on a pixel value included in the second partial original and the print color gamut of the print unit; and a color conversion unit configured to perform color conversion of the first partial original by the first color mapping method decided, and perform color conversion of the second partial original by the second color mapping method decided.
Adaptive load balancing in software emulation of GPU hardware
Aspects of the present disclosure describe a software based emulator of a graphics processing unit (GPU) that is configured to operate over a cloud-based network. A virtual image containing graphics primitives is divided into a plurality of tiles. A load balancer assigns tiles to rasterization threads in order to evenly distribute the processing load. The rasterization threads then rasterize their assigned tiles and deliver rendered pixels to a frame buffer. The frame buffer builds a frame from the rendered pixels and then delivers the frame over the network to a client device platform. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
Method and apparatus for coding image information for display
The present disclosure discloses a color gamut mapping method, an apparatus, and a storage medium in the technical field of displaying. The method includes: acquiring at least one color gamut type tag for at least one layer; determining at least one color gamut corresponding to the at least one layer, based on the at least one color gamut type tag; for each layer, mapping the layer to a corresponding color gamut by using a color gamut mapping method corresponding to the color gamut type; and superimposing the at least one layer that is mapped to the at least one corresponding color gamut so as to form and output an image to be displayed.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus includes: an input unit which inputs image data; a generation unit which generates image data having undergone color gamut conversion from the image data input by the input unit using a conversion unit configured to convert a color gamut of the image data input by the input unit into a color gamut of a device configured to output the image data; a correction unit which corrects the conversion unit based on a result of the color gamut conversion; and a control unit which controls execution of the correction by the correction unit for a content included in the image data input by the input unit.
Object color management using raster image processors and object detection and semantic segmentation
A raster image processor and a convolutional neural network or other artificial intelligence module operate in parallel. Image data for printing is passed to the raster image processor and the convolutional neural network. The raster image processor translates computer vector files and/or rasterizes bitmaps having higher or lower resolution than the output device to a raster image that includes a matrix of dots a printer can process. The raster image processor generates layers for process inks. The convolutional neural network generates a mask layer, based on the image, that is used by the raster image processor to generate an additional layer for spot colors, object colors, or specialty ink. The mask layer transmitted to the raster image processor generates a spot color layer. The layers generated by the raster image processor and the additional layer for the spot colors and/or specialty inks are combined into a print data file.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SETTING SCREEN TO ENABLE SELECTION BETWEEN FIRST MODE FOR FORMING IMAGE USING COLOR MATERIAL FOR NON-REMOVAL AND SECOND MODE FOR FORMING IMAGE USING COLOR MATERIAL FOR REMOVAL
In general, a control method of an embodiment is to control a setting screen which enables selection between a first mode for forming an image using a color material for non-removal and a second mode for forming an image using a color material for removal. When the first mode is set, the control method enables, on a setting screen, the setting of a punching post-processing for making a hole in an image receiving medium and a non-punching post-processing for making no hole in the image receiving medium, and when the second mode is set, on the setting screen, disables the setting of the punching post-processing, but enables the setting of the non-punching post-processing.
