Systems and methods for optimizing interactions with a media-streaming application platform are disclosed. One method includes identifying a user of a media-streaming application platform running on an information handling device. Based on this identification, a user profile associated with one or more social media platforms linked to the media-streaming application platform may be accessed. Media-related activity data from at least one other individual on the social media platform(s) may be obtained. Thereafter, a determination may be made whether one or more articles of media content available to the media-streaming application platform are associated with the media-related activity of the other individuals. Responsive to identifying that a positive association exists, one or more recommendation rails may be presented on the media-streaming application platform. Other aspects are described and claimed.

Provided are an image display apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The image display apparatus enabling voice recognition includes: a first voice inputter which receives a user-side audio signal; an audio outputter which outputs an audio signal processed by the image display apparatus; a first voice recognizer which recognizes the user-side audio signal received through the first voice inputter; and a controller which decreases a volume of the audio signal output through the audio outputter to a predetermined level if a voice recognition start command is received.

A system is provided for streaming media content in a vehicle. The system includes a personal media streaming appliance system configured to connect to a media delivery system and receive media content from the media delivery system at least via a cellular network. The personal media streaming appliance system includes one or more preset buttons for playing media content associated with the preset buttons. The media contents associated with the preset buttons are automatically determined to be personalized to the user of the system.

Provided are a method and apparatus for providing image playing rate information. The method including receiving, from a user terminal, a target image request signal, transmitting, to the user terminal, a target image in a first state or the target image in a second state, based on whether the target image request signal satisfies a specified standard, obtaining, from the user terminal, state information and image playing information of the target image for each specified time, and providing user-wise playing rate information of the target image, based on the state information and image playing information of the target image may be provided.

An electronic apparatus and a controlling method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a processor configured to train a UI provided by an external device through an input/output interface and store information on the UI provided by the external device in a memory, based on an image being received from the external device through the input/output interface, identify whether a UI is included in the received image, based on a UI being included in the received image, compare the UI included in the received image with the UI provided by the external device stored in the memory and identify whether the UI provided by the external device is changed, and based on identification that the UI provided by the external device being changed, retrain the UI included in the received image and store information on the UI included in the received image in the memory.

A method and system to navigate viewable content in the context of television entertainment is provided. In one example embodiment, the system comprises a presentation module to present main content on a display screen, a communications module to receive a first request associated with a first directional key on a remote control device, a navigation mode detector to determine a navigation mode associated with the first request; a margin menu module to activate a margin menu associated with the determined navigation mode. The margin menu may be presented along one of the margins of a display screen, while permitting viewing of the main content.

The messages may include references to artists, titles, genres, or eras of media, or express sentiments regarding the group communication experience. Media identified based on such references or sentiments is retrieved and transmitted to devices of one or more users participating in the group communication experience. The media is identified for users or for the group communication experience based on subjective or objective factors and played by the devices of the users participating in the group communication experience.
