RADIO FREQUENCY REMOTE CONTROL
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, and computer program product embodiments for remotely controlling a media device. An embodiment includes an apparatus including a radio frequency (RF) communications chip, a memory, and at least one processor coupled to the RF communications chip and the memory. The at least one processor is configured to receive an electronic signal indicative of a user command and generate, based on the electronic signal, an action frame packet configured to instruct a media device to perform a function associated with the user command. Subsequently, the at least one processor is configured to transmit, using the RF communications chip, the action frame packet to the media device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONFIGURING INPUT ELEMENTS OF A CONTROLLING DEVICE
A configurable input element of a controlling device is configured by using a data representative of an over-the-top (OTT) media app determined to be installed on an OTT device and a data representative of the OTT device to identify at least one command that is required to be transmitted to cause the OTT device to launch the OTT media app. The at least one command is provisioned to the controlling device and assigned to the configurable input element. When the input element is subsequently activated, the controlling device will transmit the at least one command to cause the OTT device to launch the OTT media app.
Simultaneous multi-IR code protocol using phase modulation
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for systems and methods for simultaneously sending a single signal comprising distinct instructions for two separate devices. Example methods may include receiving, by a control device instructions to adjust the operation of a first device and a second device, generating a single signal corresponding to the received instructions for two separate devices, and simultaneously sending the single signal to the two separate devices causing the devices to perform the distinct instructions intended for each respective device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SIMPLIFIED SETUP OF A UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL
A system and method for enabling set up of a controlling device capable of controlling a plurality of appliances, via an interactive instruction set and associated programming. The programming is accessible by a STB or other controllable appliance and is configured to appropriately display interactive instructions and prompts to a user during a user initiated set up procedure for configuration of another controllable device (e.g., DVD, VCR, DVR, etc) available to the user.
Apparatus and methods for personalized content synchronization and delivery in a content distribution network
Apparatus and methods for providing an enriched content services over a network. In one embodiment, the exemplary apparatus and methods leverage extant high-bandwidth capabilities of a managed network for delivering content downstream, as well as standards-compliant ultra-low latency and high data rate services (e.g., 5G NR services) for uploading content. In one embodiment, the exemplary apparatus and methods are implemented to synchronize content delivered of extant HFC architectures and DOCSIS protocols with user-generated or other content uploaded to a network entity (e.g., server apparatus) via an IP connection established utilized 5G NR services. Additional features include, among other, enhancements which enable user participation individually, or with other subscribers, in live or recorded content-based activities (such as e.g., auctioning, broadcasting, interactive commentary/gaming, exercising, etc.).
CODESET COMMUNICATION FORMAT AND RELATED METHODS AND STRUCTURES
A codeset is described in a Public Codeset Communication Format (PCCF) as a format block including a plurality of fields having readily decipherable values, such as ASCII character values. One field is a mark/space information field that includes a sequence of mark time indicators and space time indicators for an operational signal of the codeset. A second field is a signal characteristic information field for the operational signal. Signal characteristic information may include carrier on/off information, repeat frame information, toggle control information, and last frame information. The PCCF is a codeset interchange format of general applicability.
DISPLAY DEVICE, REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE AND DISPLAY SYSTEM INCLUDING DISPLAY DEVICE AND REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a remote control device for transmitting and receiving a control signal to and from a display device may include a Bluetooth circuit configured to establish Bluetooth connection with the display device, an IR circuit configured to output an IR signal, and a controller configured to output an IR signal for controlling the display device or an external device connected to the display device based on information on a video input mode of the display device when Bluetooth connection with the display device is not established.
Set top/back box, system and method for providing a remote control device
A set top/back box and system and method for providing a remote control device are disclosed. In one embodiment, one or more wireless transceivers are located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes television input/output, a processor, and memory. The set top/back box may establish a pairing with a programmable device, such as a proximate wireless-enabled interactive handheld device having a touch screen display, whereby formatted parallel audiovisual experience instructions, including virtual buttons, may be transmitted to the programmable device for display on the touch screen display to create an experience parallel to the experience on the television. The set top/back box receives and processes virtual remote control functionality input instructions from the programmable device to control amenities associated with the set top/back box.
Display apparatus and control method thereof
Disclosed are a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same. a display apparatus including: a display; an optical sensor; and a processor configured to: identify an operation cycle shorter than an idle section of an infrared (IR) signal and including at least a part of a section for a detection operation of the optical sensor, based on the IR signal of which a signal section corresponding to a user key input and the idle section are repeated on a predetermined cycle, control the optical sensor to repetitively perform the detection operation on the identified operation cycle, and perform a predetermined operation based on a detection value obtained by the detection operation of the optical sensor.
Transceiver Circuit, and Chip and Terminal Device That Use Transceiver Circuit
The invention provides a transceiver circuit including a first interface and a second interface that are connected to an optical transceiver device, a receiver circuit, a transmitter circuit, and a compensation circuit. The receiver circuit includes a differential amplifier, where a first phase input terminal of the differential amplifier is coupled to the first interface, and a second phase input terminal of the differential amplifier is coupled to the second interface. The transmitter circuit includes a first transistor, where a terminal of the first transistor is coupled to the second phase input terminal, and another terminal of the first transistor is coupled to a ground terminal.
