UNIVERSAL VOICE ASSISTANT
Described are systems and methods for enabling voice interaction with appliances, services (e.g., media streaming services, gaming services, news feed services, social platform services, etc.), and the like by way of appropriate supplied apps (also referred to as skills, actions, or the like) which may be presented or downloaded to a smart device having associated therewith one or more cloud-based voice service platforms.
MULTI-FUNCTION REMOTE CONTROL
A multi-function remote control contains a first learning unit including a learning button and multiple blank buttons. The first learning unit includes a radio frequency (RF) module, an infrared radiation (IR) module, and an integration chip. The RF module includes a first emitter element configured to send RF signals and a first receiver element configured to receive the RF signals from a first electrical remote control and to send the RF signals to the integration chip via at least one pin. The IR module includes a second emitter element configured to send first infrared signals, and the IR module includes a second receiver element configured to receive the first infrared signals. The second receiver element is also configured to receive second infrared signals from a second electrical remote control and to send the second infrared signals to the integration chip via the at least one pin.
Image display device and operating method thereof
An image display device includes: a processor; a memory configured to store channel information corresponding to at least one channel; and at least one program which is stored in the memory and executed by the processor. The program may include instructions for controlling a display so as to move a channel indicator in a first or second direction on a channel scroll bar and to display channel information of a channel corresponding to a point at which the channel indicator is located, in response to a first input of pressing a channel-up or channel-down key for a long time, and for switching a current channel to the channel corresponding to the point at which the channel indicator is located and displaying an image corresponding to the switched channel, in response to a second input of releasing the channel-up or channel-down key.
Controller
A control device includes: an output unit that outputs a signal for prompting an electronic device to execute a predetermined operation; a function switch unit that includes a plurality of switches each having a contactor formed such that at least a portion of the contactor is elastically displaceable in a predetermined direction; and a label body that has a display part and a protruding part protruding from the display part, the label body being mounted in a state where the protruding part is inserted into a hole in a housing and the display part is positioned on an outside of the housing. The protruding part of the label body determines a combination of open or closed states of the plurality of switches. The predetermined operation is determined according to the combination.
Systems and methods for modifying the display of inputs on a user input device
Systems and methods are described for adapting a second user input device to resemble a first user input device while preserving new functionalities not available in the first user input device. The systems and methods may identify, based on identifiers of the first and second user input devices, a first and second set of device functionalities provided by the devices. The systems and methods may compare the sets of device functionalities to determine a set of common device functionalities and, in response, modify the display of an input of the second user input device to correspond to visual attributes of an input of the first user input device.
MEDIA MULTI-TASKING USING REMOTE DEVICE
Systems and methods for enabling concurrent user interaction with a plurality of applications executing on a computer system are disclosed. Generally, the computer system includes a video game controller, a remote control including a plurality of buttons, and a video game system communicatively coupled with the remote control and the video game controller. While presenting video game output of video game in a foreground of a display and media output of a media application on the display, the video game system may maintain a mapping indicating that a first set of the plurality of buttons is used for controlling execution of a media application. Based on receiving a signal corresponding to a push of a button of the first set, and the mapping, the video game system may control the execution of the media application while continuing to present the video game output in the foreground.
KEYBOARD ASSEMBLY WITH INTERCHANGEABLE KEYS AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
There is a keyboard assembly for a handheld device, comprising a housing having a first section and a second section. The keyboard assembly has a plurality of slots formed on the first section. A printed circuit board (PCB) is disposed between the first and second sections. A key mat is sandwiched between the first section and the PCB, the key mat having a plurality of fixed keys and a plurality of interchangeable keys, each key protruding from its corresponding slot on the first section. The plurality of interchangeable keys, each has an identification means configured to provide each interchangeable key with a unique identity, such that when each interchangeable key is replaced onto another slot on the first section, its unique identity remains with the interchangeable key.
Context-sensitive remote control device
Various implementations include approaches for controlling content via a playback device. In a particular implementation, a remote control device includes: a keypad having a set of actuatable buttons for controlling a playback device; and a control module, where the remote control device is operable in a plurality of different operating states, and where the control module is configured to highlight one or more distinct subsets of the set of actuatable buttons at the keypad based upon a current operating state of the remote control device.
Remote control for remotely controlling an apparatus for receiving television signals, connecting to the internet and functioning as a multimedia center, and related system thereof
A remote control for remotely controlling an apparatus capable of working in different operative modesnamely receiving broadcasted signals, connecting to the Internet and functioning as a multimedia center. The remote control is able to cooperate with said television apparatus and comprises rotary means and actuating means. The said remote control is also configured to carry out different functions depending on which of said operative modes of the television apparatus has been selected and in reply to an execution of said rotary means and/or said actuating means of said remote control.
