Generating and distributing a replacement playlist
An embodiment may involve a server device transmitting, over a wide area network, a first playlist with a first duration to a client device. Possibly while the client device is playing out a current audio file of a first plurality of audio files in the playlist, the server device may receive an instruction from the client device and generate a second playlist. The second playlist may include references to a second plurality of audio files, where playout of the second plurality of audio files may have a duration that is less than the duration of the playout of the first plurality of audio files. The server device may transmit, over the wide area network, the second playlist to the client device. Reception of the second playlist at the client device may cause the audio player application to retrieve and play out the second plurality of audio files.

This is achieved in part by placing certain elements (Vixels) within the code of a video file prior to it being uploaded by a user who shares the video. Whenever and wherever the video is played, whether it is streamed once, downloaded and played several times thereafter, or played for a mass audience, the analytic pathway is triggered each and every time the video file is played because the elements triggering the collection of analytics exist in the video file itself. By embedding Vixels into video files at or before upload, the analytics mechanisms are triggered by the embedded Vixel regardless of how, where, when, and by whom the video is played back, forming the framework for a simpler and more accurate analytics network.

Based in part on the amounts of wireless activity of the computing device, the computer determines and initiates display of measures of attentiveness of the audience over the time during the presentation, to display changes in the measures of attentiveness of the audience to the speaker during the presentation. In another embodiment, the computer determines amounts of attentiveness of the audience within the room over time during the presentation utilizing sensors located throughout the room.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable medium are also provided for receiving monitoring data from multiple monitoring devices, determining users associated with user devices that were detected, identifying content based on indications of content detected by the monitoring devices, matching the users to the content using the monitoring data, and generating a report of content viewership based on the matching.
