An apparatus (20) for performing endoscopic surgery on a patient (12) includes at least two concentric tube manipulators (150) adapted to carry devices (152, 154) for performing a surgical operation. A transmission (200) operates the concentric tube manipulators (150). An endoscope tube (106) has a proximal end portion fixed to the transmission (200). The concentric tube manipulators (150) extend from the transmission (200) through an inner lumen (102) of the endoscope tube (106) and are operable to extend from a distal end (104) of the endoscope tube.
Steerable laser probe
A steerable laser probe may include a handle having a handle distal end and a handle proximal end, an actuation lever of the handle, a flexible housing tube having a flexible housing tube distal end and a flexible housing tube proximal end, and an optic fiber disposed within an inner bore of the handle and the flexible housing tube. An actuation of the actuation lever may gradually curve the flexible housing tube and the optic fiber. An actuation of the actuation lever may gradually straighten the flexible housing tube and the optic fiber.
Interlock to define a fixed spatial relationship between medical instruments
A system for fixing a spatial relationship between medical instruments can include an interlock component including a body defining an aperture to receive and retain a first needle, a head connected to the body and defining a slot extending parallel to the aperture, and a first magnet at least partially surrounded by the head and disposed between the aperture and the slot. The system can also include a handle to receive and retain a second needle, the handle defining a retaining feature for receiving a portion of the interlock component and including a second magnet positioned adjacent to the retaining feature. The second magnet attracts the first magnet to retain the portion of the interlock component in the retaining feature such that the interlock component is oriented in a desired spatial relationship relative to the handle.
Endovenous treatment assembly and device
An endovenous treatment assembly includes a wire element for delivering treatment doses, which is flexible and capable of being inserted, over a portion of its length, longitudinally into a vein, and a positioning and guiding part that manipulates the wire element. The positioning and guiding part includes at least a first means for guiding in translation a first portion of the wire element, the wire element being able to slide in the direction of its length relative to the first guiding means. The positioning and guiding part further includes a first mechanical assembly for removable mounting relative to a drive system, so that the first portion of the wire element can be positioned and guided by the positioning and guiding part so as to be able to be engaged with of the drive system for driving the wire element in the direction of its length at least in a first direction.

STEERABLE LASER PROBE
A steerable laser probe may include a handle, an actuation lever, an optic fiber, and a housing tube. The housing tube may have a first housing tube portion having a first stiffness and a second housing tube portion having a second stiffness. The second stiffs ness may be greater than the first stiffness. The optic fiber may be disposed within the housing tube and within an inner bore of the handle. An actuation of the actuation lever about a pivot pin of the handle may gradually curve the optic fiber. An actuation of the actuation lever about the pivot pin of the handle may gradually straighten the optic fiber.
STEERABLE LASER PROBE
A steerable laser probe may include a handle having a handle, a housing sleeve, a first portion of the housing sleeve having a first stiffness, a second portion of the housing sleeve having a second stiffness, an actuation control of the handle, an optic fiber disposed in an inner bore of the handle and the housing sleeve, and a shape memory wire having a pre-formed curve. An actuation of the actuation control may be configured to gradually curve the housing sleeve and the optic fiber. An actuation of the actuation control may be configured to gradually straighten the housing sleeve and the optic fiber.
Laser shaving
A device configured to cut hair using laser light includes a handle portion and a shaving portion. The handle portion includes a battery and a laser light source. The laser light source is coupled to and configured to receive power from the battery. The laser light source is also configured to generate laser light having a wavelength selected to target a predetermined chromophore to effectively cut a hair shaft. The shaving portion includes a support and a single fiber optic supported by the support. The fiber optic has a proximal end, a distal end, an outer wall, and a cutting region positioned towards the distal end and extending along a portion of the side wall. The fiber optic is positioned to receive the laser light from the laser light source at the proximal end, conduct the laser light from the proximal end toward the distal end, and emit the light out of the cutting region and toward hair when the cutting region is brought in contact with the hair.
LASER ENERGY DELIVERY DEVICES INCLUDING DISTAL TIP ORIENTATION INDICATORS
A laser ablation catheter includes a distal tip, and the distal tip includes a body that defines a longitudinal axis.
