An apparatus including a housing member and an airflow spreader. The housing member includes an acoustic back cavity for a sound transducer and at least two second cavities in the housing member spaced from the acoustic back cavity. The airflow spreader is connected to the housing member. The airflow spreader includes a conduit system connecting the acoustic back cavity directly with each of the at least two second cavities through the airflow spreader.

System and method for providing advanced loudspeaker protection with over-excursion, frequency compensation and non-linear correction

In at least one embodiment, an audio amplifier system is provided. The system includes a loudspeaker and an audio amplifier. The loudspeaker transmits an audio output into a listening environment. The audio amplifier is programmed to receive an audio input signal and to generate an excursion signal corresponding to a first excursion level of the voice coil based on the audio input signal. The audio amplifier is further programmed to limit the excursion signal to reach a maximum excursion level and to determine a target pressure for an enclosure of the loudspeaker based on the maximum excursion level. The audio amplifier is further programmed to generate a target current signal based at least on the target pressure and to convert the target current signal into a target voltage signal to a target driving signal to drive the voice coil to reach the maximum excursion level.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

An electronic device comprises a housing including a window member facing a first direction, a rear housing facing a second direction that is opposite to the first direction, and a side member encompassing the space between the window member and the rear housing. The electronic device also includes a display that is visible through at least a part of the window member and a speaker assembly disposed in the space. The speaker assemble includes a speaker diaphragm. The side member includes a resonance space including a shape a recessed form in a third direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction or the second direction. A through hole is formed in the third direction in a part of the resonance space that is closer to the rear housing than to the window member. A part of the resonance space can be disposed so as to overlap the speaker diaphragm.

ACOUSTIC PORT FOR A PLAYBACK DEVICE

A playback device includes a housing defining an acoustic volume therein, one or more audio transducers disposed at least partially within the housing, and an acoustic port extending through the housing. The acoustic port includes a wall defining a first aperture, a second aperture, and a passageway extending therebetween. The wall is at least partially curved along an axial direction, and a plurality of vanes coupled to the wall extend into the passageway such that the vanes define a plurality of channels extending axially within the passageway.

Provided is a speaker device, including: a speaker unit; and a speaker cabinet to which the speaker unit is mounted. The speaker cabinet includes an outer plate; and a partition plate arranged between the outer plate and the speaker unit so as to be opposed to the outer plate. The outer plate and the partition plate form a bass reflex port communicating with a rear space of the speaker unit, and the partition plate includes a leading end surface inclined so as to gradually increase a distance from the outer plate as extending forward.

Portable Loudspeaker Systems

A loudspeaker system includes a subwoofer. The subwoofer includes a housing having a plurality of walls which together define an acoustic cavity. The plurality of walls includes a front wall, a rear wall, a top wall, a bottom wall, and a plurality of sidewalls extending between the top and bottom walls and between the front and rear walls. A first transducer mounted to the front wall of the housing. The first transducer includes a diaphragm having a major axis and a minor axis. The major axis has a fist end proximate the bottom wall and an opposite, second end proximate the top wall, such that the major axis is arranged vertical, relative to ground when the subwoofer is rested on its bottom wall. The top wall has a handle such that the loudspeaker can be carried with the major axis arranged vertical to ground.

To provide an excellent sound output device which is worn on an ear of a user and used. The sound output device includes a sound generation part and a holding part that has an opening portion and holds the sound generation part in the vicinity of an entrance of an ear canal of a user. The holding part includes a ring body having the opening portion, and a housing of the sound generation part is integrated with a part of the ring body. The sound generation part includes a sound generation element having a dynamic type driver, and has a hollow exhaust part joining with a rear surface of the housing of the sound generation part. The exhaust part extends from a rear surface side of the housing across an intertragic notch and has an exhaust hole outside an auricle.

NEAR TO THE EAR SUBWOOFER

A loudspeaker arrangement for a seat within a motor vehicle utilizes one or more localized sound output ports for low frequency sound reproduction. A housing, such as an enclosure, substantially surrounds a loudspeaker. One or more audio transmission line channels acoustically interconnect the interior of the enclosure to one or more sound output ports. The enclosure is situated below, behind, or in some fixed location around or within a vehicle seat. The sound outputs ports are situated at or near a headrest such that the output ports are located substantially less than a wavelength of sound at the highest operating frequency from either ear of the seat's occupant. The acoustic response and resonances of a 1) rear enclosure, 2) a front vented enclosure, 3) a loudspeaker, and 4) an audio transmission path from the enclosure to one or more output ports are used to provide localized low frequency sound reproduction.
