The apparatus further includes a thermostat positioned in the region. The thermostat includes a contact surface disposed to make contact with an object placed on the surface heating portion. The thermostat includes a switch configured to prevent a current from conducting through the heating element when the contact surface experiences a temperature equal to or greater than a temperature limit. The apparatus further includes a medallion coupled to the thermostat and positioned below a top surface of the heating element, the medallion comprising an aperture shaped to allow the contact surface to extend through the aperture to make contact with the object. The apparatus includes an urging element configured to provide vertical movement of the medallion in response to a downward force applied from the object.
Wireless induction heating cooker with improved heat conduction efficiency
A wireless induction heating cooker includes a main body configured to receive and heat food objects therein, a lid configured to couple to an upper surface of the main body, and an inner pot configured to be accommodated in the main body and to be heated based on a magnetic field being generated by a heating coil of an induction heating device. The inner pot defines a heat conduction space that is surrounded by a bottom surface, an outer surface, and an inner surface of the inner pot.
Electric grill with current protection circuitry
Provided is an apparatus and method for protecting against unsafe electric current conditions. A protections circuit may be used in a device, such as an electric grill, that has one or more electric loads, such as heating elements. The protection circuit may protect against various failure scenarios, including, without limitation, instances of ground fault, over current, driver failure, and failure of a microprocessor. In response to a failure, the protection circuit may trip a latch relay or disable a triac driver to stop current from flowing.
WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS, AND METHOD, PERFORMED BY WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS, OF IDENTIFYING LOCATION OF COOKING APPLIANCE
A wireless power transmission apparatus including a plurality of cooking zones, a communication interface to communicate with a cooking appliance, an output interface, a wireless power transmitter comprising a plurality of working coils corresponding to the plurality of cooking zones, and an inverter circuit, and at least one processor configured to: control, upon detecting a first wireless communication signal transmitted from the cooking appliance, the inverter circuit to drive the plurality of working coils to generate a magnetic field according to a plurality of power transmission patterns; receive a second wireless communication signal from the cooking appliance, including information regarding the cooking zone detected at a location of the cooking appliance; and based on the second wireless communication signal, output, through the output interface, the information regarding the cooking zone in which the cooking appliance is located.
COOKING APPLIANCE WITH AT LEAST ONE CARRYING PLATE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A VIBRATION SENSOR
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance with at least one carrying plate (3) adapted to receive cookware placed thereon, in particular a cooking hob (1) with a top plate or with a system comprising a top plate and at least one pan support. At least one sensing means for the detection of vibration is comprised. The vibration is generated when food to be cooked and/or cooking adjuvant inside of the cookware is heated up. The food to be cooked and/or cooking adjuvant may be a cooking liquid. A vibration sensor is attached to the carrying plate (3) by way of fixation means which prevent relative movement between the vibration sensor and the carrying plate (3), in particular in the direction towards and/or away from each other. Further, a method for assembling a vibration sensor to a carrying plate (3) of a cooking appliance, particularly to a top plate of a cooking hob (1), is disclosed. The carrying plate (3) transmits vibration movements from a cookware to the vibration sensor. The assembly comprises the assembling steps: - a first rigid frame part (23) is rigidly connected to the carrying plate (3), preferably in a first assembling step; and - the vibration sensor is connected to the first rigid frame part (23) in a way that prevents relative movement between vibration sensor and carrying plate (3), in particular in the direction towards and/or away from each other, preferably in a second assembling step.
COOKING DEVICE HAVING MULTI-POWER STRUCTURE
A cooking device that includes a controller configured to, after being activated, control an operation of the cooking device; a communication unit configured to, after being activated, transmit data to a wireless power transmission device; a pickup coil configured to wirelessly receive power from a transmitting coil of the wireless power transmission device; a rectification unit configured to rectify the an alternating current (AC) of the pickup coil corresponding to the power received by the pickup coil, to produce a direct current (DC); a first capacitor configured to be charged in accordance with the DC current produced by the rectification unit to activate the communication unit; and a second capacitor, having a capacitance greater than a capacitance of the first capacitor, configured to be charged in accordance with the DC current produced by the rectification unit to activate the controller, so that the communication unit is activated before the controller.
INFRARED RADIANT EMITTER AND INFRARED HEATING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
An infrared emitter includes a first refractory layer of a first refractory material, a coiled wire disposed over the first refractory material, and a second refractory layer of a second refractory material, and a portion of the second refractory layer is disposed within a void of the coiled wire.
DUAL COIL ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENT
An embodiment of an electric heating element is disclosed, including an electrically resistive inner heating element, an electrically resistive outer heating element, and a thermostat positioned underneath a centrally-positioned medallion and along a cold leg of the inner heating element. The thermostat is configured to selectively allow electrical current to be delivered to the inner heating element while maximum electrical current, for example, continues to be provided to the outer heating element. The thermostat cycles the electrical current on and off when detecting maximum and minimum desired temperatures radiated from the electric heating element. The inner heating element has a pair of cold legs that extend parallel to a pair of cold legs of the outer heating element, some or all of which may be supported by a terminal bracket.
