Firing and lockout assembly for knife for electrosurgical shears
A surgical instrument includes an end effector, a handle assembly, and a knife drive assembly. The end effector includes a first jaw, a second jaw, a knife, and an electrode assembly. The handle assembly includes a housing, and an arm. The arm may pivot the second jaw between the open position and the closed position. The knife drive assembly includes an input assembly, and output assembly coupled with the knife, and a compound pulley assembly. The compound pulley assembly includes a pair of pulley wheels each having an input track, an output track, an input cable, and an output cable. The input assembly can drive the input cable a first proximal distance in order to rotate the pair of pulley wheels in a first angular direction, thereby driving the output cable a first distal direction to actuate the knife from the pre-fired position toward the fired position.
CLIP-CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY AND CLIP APPLICATOR
A clip-cartridge assembly and a clip applicator are provided. The clip-cartridge assembly includes a clip-cartridge, a clip delivery device, and a clip jaw provided on a side of the clip-cartridge. The clip-cartridge includes an accommodation cavity for placing a ligation clip and the clip delivery device; the clip delivery device includes an elastic member and a clip pushing block for pushing the ligation clip within the accommodation cavity to move; and if the clip jaw is closed, the elastic member, by an elastic force of the elastic member, drives the clip pushing block to move in a movement direction toward the clip jaw.
Actuation lockout for a surgical instrument
Surgical instruments and their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, a surgical instrument includes a power transmission including a trigger and a fastener driver operatively coupled to the trigger. Actuation of the trigger from a first configuration to a second configuration moves the fastener driver between at least a first position and a second position. Additionally, an actuation lockout system operatively associated with the power transmission is moveable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The actuation lockout system prevents movement of the fastener driver from the first position to the second position when the actuation lockout system is in the locked configuration. Actuation of the trigger from the first configuration towards the second configuration moves the actuation lockout system from the locked configuration to the unlocked configuration.
MEDICAL APPARATUS
A medical apparatus, including a clamp, a work head and a handle; the work head includes a casing, a firing forcing member, a firing rod, a receiving cavity, and a clip-cartridge assembly; an inner cavity communicating with the receiving cavity is formed in the casing; a positioning block is arranged in the inner cavity; the firing forcing member includes a toggle piece and a movable member, the toggle piece having a first connecting part, a second connecting part, and a third connecting part; in condition that the positioning block moves forwards, the toggle piece rotates towards the clamp through the first connecting part to drive the firing rod to control the clamp to open; and in condition that the positioning block moves backwards, the toggle piece rotates towards the handle through the first connecting part to drive the firing rod to control the clamp to close.
Guide for flexible bone drill and bone resection instrument
Disclosed is a guide for a flexible bone drill, including: a first body provided internally with a through channel; a second, internally hollow body, into which said first body can be inserted; said second body being provided with a through hole suitable to be placed in fluidic connection with the internal through channel of said first body; and said second body and said first body sliding relative to one another to vary the relative position of the hole with respect to said through channel. Other aspects are described and claimed.
Clip applier comprising a motor controller
A surgical device for clipping tissue is disclosed. The surgical device comprises a clip magazine comprising a plurality of clips, an end effector movable between an open position and a closed position, and a jaw actuator operably responsive to a first rotatable input. The jaw actuator is configured to move the end effector between the open position and the closed position. The surgical device further comprises a reciprocating feeder drive and a controller. The reciprocating feeder drive is operably responsive to a second rotatable input. The controller is configured to advance a clip from the clip magazine into the end effector by way of the feeder drive when the end effector is in the open configuration. The controller is further configured to actuate the jaw actuator to move the first jaw and the second jaw toward the closed position without advancing a clip into the end effector.
Circular stapling device with anvil rotation locking structure
A circular stapling device includes an anvil assembly and an adaptor assembly including a shell assembly. The adaptor assembly includes an anvil retainer including an asymmetric tip. The anvil assembly has a center rod, an anvil head supported on the center rod, and an alignment member. The center rod has a proximal portion and a distal portion and defines a channel that extends from the proximal portion to the distal portion. The alignment member is positioned within the channel and is configured to engage the asymmetric trocar tip of the anvil retainer of the adaptor when the anvil assembly is attached to the anvil retainer to properly align the anvil assembly with the shell assembly.
SEALER DIVIDER
A device comprising: a first jaw having a gripping surface; a second jaw having a gripping surface, the second jaw being spaced apart from the first jaw and being configured to move between an open position and a closed position, and a sealer divider having a plurality of stops including at least: one or more distal stops, one or more proximal stops; and one or more intermediate stops that are of an intermediate height when compared to a height of the one or more distal stops and a height the one or more proximal stops, and wherein the plurality of stops are non-conductive and are distributed on the gripping surface of the first jaw, the gripping surface of the second jaw, or both, and wherein the first jaw and the second jaw have a proximal end and a distal end and the plurality of stops produce a gap that is widest at the proximal end and tapers so that a gap at the distal end is narrower than the gap at the proximal end.
ELECTROSURGICAL INSTRUMENT
Electrical instrument for applying radiofrequency and/or microwave frequency energy to tissue, comprising: a distal part comprising an instrument tip for applying radiofrequency and/or microwave frequency energy to tissue, the instrument tip comprising first and second conductive elements; a coaxial feed cable comprising an inner conductor, a tubular outer conductor coaxial with the inner conductor, and dielectric material separating the inner and outer conductors, the coaxial feed cable being for conveying radiofrequency and/or microwave frequency energy to the distal part; wherein: the inner conductor is electrically connected to the first conductive element and the outer conductor is electrically connected to the second conductive element through a rotatable connection between the distal part and the coaxial feed cable that allows rotation of the distal part relative to the coaxial feed cable; and the instrument comprises an actuator for rotating the distal part in a first rotational direction relative to the feed cable.
