INTRAOPERATIVE IMAGE-GUIDED TOOLS FOR OPHTHALMIC SURGERY
An image-guided tool and method for ophthalmic surgical procedures is disclosed comprising a processor, a display, an imaging system, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor and includes an artificial intelligence (AI) model. The processor is arranged to receive from the imaging system visual images in real-time of a surgical field during the ophthalmic surgical procedure and using the AI model to extract regions of interest in the surgical field. Upon selection of a region of interest by the AI model, the AI model develops operating image features based on the surgical instruments used in the region of interest and the phase of the surgical procedure being performed. Augmented visual images are then constructed that include the real-time visual image and the image features and surgical phase information. The augmented image is displayed on the display.
Laser-assisted transdermal delivery of nanoparticulates and hydrogels
A laser treatment system includes a laser device configured to produce a laser beam at a wavelength in an ultraviolet spectrum to provide for tissue ablation, a lens configured to focus and direct the laser beam to a site to form an opening in a surface of the site, a valve connected to a first channel, and a nozzle that emits the laser beam and controls delivery of at least a first substance and a second substance to the site. A portion of the first channel is disposed within a first sidewall of the nozzle to deliver the first substance, and a second channel unconnected with the valve is disposed within a second sidewall of the nozzle to deliver the second substance.
DEVICES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR ROBOT-ASSISTED SURGERY
A system comprises a robotic arm in a robotic arm coordinate system, a camera in a fixed pose in a navigation coordinate system, at least one processor, and memory including instructions that when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to determine a pose of the robotic arm within the navigation coordinate system, map the robotic arm coordinate system to the navigation coordinate system based on the pose of the robotic arm, and control, based on output of the camera, the robotic arm in the navigation coordinate system.
Graphical user interface for displaying guidance information in a plurality of modes during an image-guided procedure
A method for displaying guidance information using a graphical user interface during an medical procedure comprises displaying, in a first mode of the graphical user interface, first image data from a perspective corresponding to a distal end of an elongate device. The first image data includes a virtual roadmap. The method also comprises transitioning from the first mode of the graphical user interface to a second mode of the graphical user interface. The transition is based on an occurrence of a triggering condition. The method also comprises displaying, in the second mode of the graphical user interface, second image data from a perspective corresponding to the distal end of the elongate device. The second image data includes a target indicator corresponding to a target location and an alignment indicator corresponding to an expected location of the medical procedure at the target location.
OCCLUSION-CROSSING DEVICES
A catheter system includes a catheter that includes an outer shaft and a rotatable inner shaft having a drill tip. The catheter can be configured to bend laterally when the inner shaft is rotating within the other shaft for maneuvering within a blood vessel, for example, as the drill tip crosses an occlusion. Catheter bending can be activated by translating the inner shaft relative to the outer shaft in a distal direction, proximal direction, or both. The outer shaft may include a locking feature to rotatably lock the inner shaft with the outer shaft and allowing bidirectional lateral bending of the catheter. The inner shaft can include one or more imaging sensors for collecting images outside of the catheter. The inner shaft may be removable from the outer shaft, for example after an occlusion is crossed, to allow insertion of a guidewire or other device within the outer shaft.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR REGISTERING AND TRACKING ORGANS DURING INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES
Systems, methods, and devices are provided for assisting or performing guided interventional procedures using specialized catheters and inserts. A bend altering device is introduced into a conduit in an organ causing it to take on a tortuous path and to assist in its visualization. A scan is performed of a patient's anatomy to identify targets critical structures and the path of the conduit. A bend altering device containing position indicating elements is placed into the conduit in the same path as before the scan. During a procedure, the pre-procedure scans may be registered to the patient using the location of the position indicating elements in the conduit. This registration may be used in an intervention to guide instruments and templates to obtain diagnostic information or provide therapy to the targets identified in the scans.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR FLUORESCENCE IMAGING
Devices, systems, and methods perform optical-scanning operations to acquire fluorescence data values corresponding to fluorescence data collected from inside a bodily lumen. A processor receives the fluorescence data; calculates a threshold background fluorescence value based on a central tendency of at least part of the fluorescence data values; discards fluorescence data values that are lower than the threshold background fluorescence value, thereby creating corrected fluorescence data values; and generates an image of the bodily lumen based on the corrected fluorescence data values.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A HAIR TRANSPLANT SYSTEM WITH EXTRACTION AND IMPLANTATION NEEDLES
Systems and methods are provided for performing a hair transplant using a hair transplant device. The hair transplant device comprises an extraction unit including a coring needle configured to extract at least one hair follicle from a donor site, an implanting unit removably coupled to the extraction unit, the implanting unit including a splitting needle configured to create an opening in a recipient site, a housing coupled to the extraction unit, and a user interface extending from the housing and moveable relative to the housing. The user interface includes a pin movable within the coring needle relative to the housing.
Device and methods for crossing occlusions
The invention provides devices with integrated intravascular imaging and methods for crossing a CTO within the true lumen of a vessel. An interventional catheter with intravascular imaging capabilities can be guided into an affected vessel and to a CTO. An included intravascular imaging device captures a 3D image of the environment. The catheter includes a crossing member that can be extended out from a distal tip of the catheter, causing the crossing member to directly cross through the CTO creating a new channel through the CTO.

Methods and systems for displaying an overlay superimposed with an intraoperative image of surgical field in a medical ophthalmic procedure, such that the overlay appears at a desired depth within the image are provided. Methods and system for displaying an overlay superimposed with a stereoscopic intraoperative image pair of a surgical field in a medical ophthalmic procedure are provided.
