DENTAL TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME
A root canal treatment instrument 100 continues drive of a cutting tool 5 in forward rotation drive until reaching 180 degrees, and when a load applied to the cutting tool 5 is equal to or greater than a reference load, drive of the cutting tool 5 is switched to reverse rotation drive until reaching 90 degrees. In the root canal treatment instrument 100, when a cumulative amount of rotation is equal to or greater than a reference amount of rotation, change to a drive pattern is made, forward rotation drive is continued until reaching 90 degrees, and when a load applied to the cutting tool 5 is equal to or greater than the reference load, drive of the cutting tool 5 is switched to reverse rotation drive until reaching 180 degrees.
Screw-attached Pick-up Dental Coping System and Methods
A temporary alignment system and method for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using the same threads in the abutment that are used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods for converting an existing prosthesis for screw attachment to implants in a single visit and digital capture of the converted prosthesis are described.
MAXILLARY TEETH ORTHODONTIC DEVICE
The present invention relates to a maxillary teeth orthodontic device capable of correcting upper jaw molars and anterior teeth by moving the upper jaw molars and the anterior teeth in forward and backward directions. The maxillary teeth orthodontic device comprises: a body attached to the bottom surface of the gums of the upper jaw; a connection leg of which one end is connected and extended from the body; a molar fixing part connected to the other end of the connection leg and fitted into a molar; and a ring part connected to one side of the lower surface of the body, wherein the body is divided into a first body and a second body such that gaps are adjusted by allowing the first body and the second body to be spaced from each other or approach each other in the incisor direction and the airway direction of the upper jaw.
HAND-WOUND POWERED TOOTHBRUSH WITH REPLACEABLE BRUSH HEAD
A manually-wound or charged, powered toothbrush includes a winding mechanism, an energy storage element, and an output gear train to cause a rotating, oscillating or sweeping brush head to move, thus improving the efficacy of the user's oral-care regimen. The toothbrush may include a removable, replaceable brush head that includes a clip that also serves as a removal tool for a spent brush head.

A HANDHELD DEVICE DRIVE SYSTEM
This invention relates to a drive system which automatically disengages when a loading above a certain threshold limit is applied to the driven component, thus preventing damage to the drive system and foremost to the gearing between the drive system and the driven component when such a load is applied.
Torque limiting dental tool holder
A torque limiting device for use with a dental drive tool including a housing defining a rotation axis and having a bore concentric with the rotation axis and a torque limiting insert. The housing has a recess for housing at least part of the torque limiting insert. The torque limiting insert includes a fixing region held within the housing and a spring region extending from the fixing region and including a locking catch protruding into the bore. The locking catch is aligned with the recess so it can be moved radially outwards into the recess in to a disengaged position. The locking catch is arranged to engage with the dental drive tool when the tool is introduced in the bore to transmit a torque applied to the housing and to deflect into the disengaged position against the force of the spring region when a predefined torque limit is reached.
Torque reaction in rotating medical apparatus
A system and method for compensating for torque reaction forces in a medical apparatus is disclosed. The system may include a rotary element which rotates about an axis. A contra-rotating flywheel may be driven to rotate about the axis relative to the rotary element, wherein the flywheel is free to rotate and is accelerated and decelerated by a driver which is fixed to the rotary element. Contra-rotation of the flywheel may compensate for torque reaction forces when the rotary element is accelerated or decelerated.
Endodontic file system for cleaning and shaping a root canal
An endodontic file system is provided for simultaneously cleaning and shaping multiple root canals, the system includes a drill head having a distal portion and a proximal portion; at least two adjustable couplers on the distal portion of the drill head, each adjustable coupler configured to secure an endodontic file for cleaning a root canal; and a rotary system configured to rotate each adjustable coupler, where at least one endodontic file has an adjustable working distance from the drill head to a root canal of a tooth. In an example, each adjustable coupler can be configured to have a torque control configured to allow for controlling the rotation of the adjustable coupler based on an amount of torque.
