Dental implant abutment copings
A dental abutment coping or ring for securing a dental prosthesis to dental abutments. The coping or ring includes a body for insertion into a dental prosthesis, and a cavity or space sized to accept a head of the dental abutment. The interior surface of the cavity includes an interface region sized and shaped to accept the dental abutment in a retentive interface fit or a passive fit, depending on an angle of the interface surface. The exterior surface can have channels configured to contain a cement bonding the exterior surface to the dental prosthesis. A dental prosthesis system including the dental copings provides a retentive interference fit between the prosthesis and the dental abutments, even where the dental abutments are not parallel. A plurality of copings and abutments enables a retentive fit to varying degrees depending on the degree of interference fit in each coping and abutment.
Dental implant and set thereof
The present invention provides a dental implant that can deal with a subsequent reduction in bone mass while reducing a burden on a patient, and a set thereof. The present invention is directed to a dental implant comprising: a first stage implant 1 that has a bottomed tubular shape, a male thread 3 formed on an outer periphery thereof, and a female thread 4 formed in an inner periphery thereof; and a second stage implant 2 that has a tip part 6 having a male thread 5 threadably engaged with the female thread 4 of the first stage implant 1 and a rear end part 7 to which an upper prosthesis is to be attached via an abutment 8, wherein the female thread 4 of the first stage implant 1 and the male thread 5 of the second stage implant 2 are tapered threads.
Dental prostheses cemented onto implants and/or abutments having a reverse margin
A dental abutment, or a dental implant having an integrated abutment, in which the occlusal part of the abutment to which the dental prosthesis is to be cemented features a shoulder having a reverse margin. At the point where the shoulder meets the outer profile of the gingival part of the abutment, the shoulder is at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the abutment, thereby causing any cement ejected during mounting of the prosthesis to be ejected in a direction away from the gingiva.
Implant for dental prostheses
An implant for dental prostheses includes an endosseous portion and a stump. The endosseous portion includes a crown margin configured to be opposed to a corresponding crown margin of the stump. At least one of the crown margins is conical or however has a different taper with respect to the opposed crown margin so that, once the stump has been coupled to the endosseous portion, the contact and interference surface between the crown margins is a reduced annular surface.
One-part or multi-part implant system comprising a mounting element having one or more outer rings
The present invention relates to a mounting element (10) for fixing removable tooth prostheses which are anchored by an implant, comprising a lower end (13) for fastening the mounting elements (10) having an implant (21) or abutment; and an upper end for connecting the mounting element having a tooth prosthesis, optionally a friction insert; characterised in that the main body of the mounting element (10) has an outer ring (11).
DENTAL IMPLANTS
A dental implant, including a generally cylindrical body having a proximal open end and a distal closed end and an externally threaded surface, a socket extending distally from the proximal end and terminating at a proximally facing shoulder and an internally threaded hole extending distally from the proximally facing shoulder and a curved portion formed between the proximally facing shoulder and the internally threaded wall.
DENTAL IMPLANTS WITH VARYING DIAMETERS AND THREAD TYPES
A threaded dental implant may include a fastener body defining a longitudinal axis. The fastener body may include a proximal end including an internal pocket configured to receive a dental component and a distal end. The fastener body may further include a helical thread disposed about the fastener body and extending along the longitudinal axis, the helical thread having a major thread diameter, a minor thread diameter, a distal-facing side and a proximal-facing side. The minor thread diameter may be tapered such that the minor thread diameter is smaller at the distal end than at the proximal end and the helical thread may include a first thread form comprising a generally concave side.
