Cleaning appliance
A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle and a fluid delivery system for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. Part of the fluid delivery system is moveable relative to the handle as the appliance is moved along the teeth of the user. A sensor provides an output which varies with movement of that part of the fluid delivery system relative to the handle. A control circuit actuates the delivery of working fluid to the teeth of the user depending on the output from the sensor.
Wirelessly controlled oral irrigator
An oral irrigator including a base and a handle. The base includes a fluid reservoir, a pump in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir, and a base wireless communication component in electrical communication with the pump. The handle is in fluid communication with the pump. The handle includes a handle wireless communication component and one or more control buttons in communication with the handle wireless communication component. The handle wireless communication component transmits control signals from the one or more control buttons to the base wireless communication component to adjust an operating parameter of the pump.
Manual and Electric Pump Toothbrushes with Toothpaste Tube
A pump toothbrush having a toothpaste tube to dispense dentifrice material to top of bristle head is disclosed. The pump toothbrush has a pump head with a resilient button to create an internal vacuum force to draw the dentifrice material from the toothpaste tube. The toothpaste tube is supported by width-limiting fingers to prevent total collapsing of sidewalls resulting in blocking of its flow channel. A self-closing spout is used for preventing backflow. For a manual pump toothbrush the toothpaste tube has an oval-shaped shoulder for mating with the oval-shaped shoulder of a detachable handle for fastening the toothpaste tube by threads. For an electrical pump toothbrush, a detachable endcap connector is used for swinging out the toothpaste tube from its handle for replacement. A sonic vibration model uses rubber molding to minimize vibration on the handle. A dual-rotary model has two rotary bristle elements engaged by gear teeth.
PORTABLE TOOTH CLEANING SYSTEM
A tooth cleaning system includes a handheld toothbrush portion coupled by tubes to an arm-mounted module. Collectively, the handheld toothbrush portion and the arm-mounted module include an oscillating toothbrush head; an irrigation system having a pump, reservoir, and tubing; and a scavenge system having a pump, reservoir, and tubing. In some examples, portions of the irrigation system are disposed in the handheld toothbrush and portions of the irrigation system are disposed in the arm-mounted module.
Cleaning appliance
A dental cleaning appliance includes a fluid reservoir for storing working fluid, a nozzle for delivering working fluid to the teeth of a user, a light source for illuminating the fluid reservoir and a control circuit for activating the light source to generate an alert which is conveyed to the user through the illumination of the fluid reservoir.
CHASSIS OF AN ORAL CLEANSING DEVICE
A chassis of an oral cleansing device is provided. The oral cleansing device may include a first chassis half including a first threaded portion, a second chassis half including a second threaded portion, and a nut threaded onto the first threaded portion and the second threaded portion to at least partially secure the first chassis half to the second chassis half. The threaded portions may be defined on respective ends of the first chassis half and the second chassis half. The nut may engage chamfered edges of the first chassis half and the second chassis half. Engagement of the nut with the first chamfered edge and the second chamfered edge may produce a radial compressive force on the chassis halves. The first chassis half and the second chassis half may at least partially define a chassis that is positioned within a handle of the oral cleansing device.
Methods of Designing and Fabricating Customized Dental Care for Particular Users
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for customizing dental care. In one aspect, a dental care device is customized for a particular user, including: (1) a support plate having: (a) a first portion configured to be inserted into a mouth; and (b) an attachment mechanism configured to attach the dental care device to a drive assembly; and (2) an elastomer (elastic polymer) portion enclosing the first portion of the plate, the elastomer portion including a plurality of cleaning tips and shaped in accordance with dental details of the particular user.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A MODULAR DENTAL DEVICE
Exemplary devices and methods are disclosed that facilitate a modular dental device including cartridges. The modular dental device includes an energy storage module, dispensing unit, motor, controller, button, and tube, configured to dispense a compound at a dispensing port. The modular dental device includes a chamber that may receive cartridges containing different compounds, and may serve different functions including cleaning and whitening. The modular dental device may be reconfigured to perform different functions by combining different dental device sections, or by changing the order that different dental device sections are connected in.
Cleaning appliance
A pump assembly for a dental cleaning appliance includes a fluid chamber, a piston, and a drive. Magnets, connected respectively to the piston and the drive, enable the drive to couple to the piston and move it within the fluid chamber to draw fluid into the fluid chamber. A stop prevents the piston from being pulled beyond a stop position so that through continued actuation of the drive the magnets separate to allow a spring to push the piston away from the stop position to urge a burst of fluid from the fluid chamber.
