Modular multibranch stent assembly and method
The techniques of this disclosure generally relate to an assembly including a single branch stent device and a modular stent device configured to be coupled to the single branch stent device. The single branch stent device includes a main body and a branch coupling extending radially from the main body. The modular stent device includes a main body configured to be coupled inside of the main body of the single branch stent device, a bypass gate extending distally from a distal end of the main body of the modular stent device, and an artery leg extending distally from the distal end of the main body of the modular stent device.
GRAFT ANCHOR DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure provides medical devices, systems and methods and in particular to devices and methods useful for anchoring graft materials to bodily structures.
BRANCH POINT FLOW DIVERSION DEVICE
A flow diversion device for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms and other medical conditions is disclosed. The flow diversion device may include a generally tubular wire stent frame formed from a plurality of zig-zag shaped wire elements that are coupled together. The device further includes a base layer of graft material coupled to the wire stent frame and surrounding at least a portion thereof, the wire stent frame maintaining the base layer in an open condition. In some embodiments, the base layer may be formed of porous graft material having a plurality of slits formed in the longitudinal direction. The slits may have a different shape in a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration. The slits provide a passageway for a small blood flow to maintain the long-term patency of important small side branches, while also reducing blood flow to the aneurysm to promote occlusion and avoid potential rupture.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACUTE TREATMENT OF FLUID OVERLOAD IN PATIENTS WITH HEART FAILURE
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems and methods that include arranging an acute alteration of blood flow in, for example, heart failure patients.
Left atrial appendage stasis reduction
Methods and devices that prevent stasis in the LAA by either increasing the flow through the LAA or by closing off or sealing the LAA. Increasing the flow is accomplished through shunts, flow diverters, agitators, or by increasing the size of the ostium. Closing off the LAA is accomplished using seals or by cinching the LAA.
Tailored venous anastomosis for arteriovenous grafts
An arteriovenous graft and methods of reducing the risk of graft thrombosis and extending patency of the arteriovenous graft are provided herein. The arteriovenous graft is operable for attaching to a vein at a venous anastomosis. In some aspects, the arteriovenous graft includes a plurality of grooves at a venous anastomosis end of the arteriovenous graft and the venous anastomoses may be arranged such that the arteriovenous graft and the vein meet at an angle of 30° or less.
Double walled fixed length stent like apparatus and methods of use thereof
A new medical apparatus for deployment within an anatomical blood vessel and methods of use thereof. The apparatus comprising: a first tubular wall; and a second tubular wall, placed within the first tubular wall; wherein the first and second tubular walls are firmly connected at their edges, therefore restricted to have same overall longitudinal length; and wherein the second tubular wall is configured to be partially constricted towards its inner radial axis, while maintaining its overall longitudinal length.
BRANCHED AORTIC GRAFT AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A device and method for repair of a patient's aorta is disclosed. The device includes a first component including an outer diameter equal to a first diameter, a second component attached to a distal end of the first component, and a plurality of third components positioned in a chamber defined in the second component. The second component includes a proximal surface extending outwardly from the distal end of the first component, and a plurality of openings defined in the proximal surface. Each third component includes a passageway extending inwardly from an opening of the plurality of openings defined in the proximal surface. Each passageway is sized to receive a tubular conduit, and the proximal surface has an outer edge that defines a second diameter greater than the first diameter.
TRANSCATHETER DEVICE AND MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHOD FOR CONSTRICTING AND ADJUSTING BLOOD FLOW THROUGH A BLOOD VESSEL
A pulmonary artery flow restrictor system includes a funnel shaped membrane with a proximal base and a restrictive distal opening which is stretchable to larger sizes. A self-expanding frame is attached to the proximal base of the membrane for securing the membrane within the pulmonary artery.
Aortic implant
Apparatus and methods are described for regulating blood flow in an ascending aorta of a subject including inserting a device into the ascending aorta. When in a deployed state, the device defines an inner surface that defines a conduit through the device, at least a portion of the inner surface diverging, such that a cross-sectional area of the conduit at the downstream end of the diverging portion is greater than a cross-sectional area of the conduit at the upstream end of the diverging portion. The device is deployed within a longitudinal portion of the ascending aorta, such that the device defines the conduit throughout deployment of the device within the longitudinal portion of the ascending aorta. Other applications are also described.
