POSTERIOR CHAMBER PHAKIC INTRAOCULAR LENS
A posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens including a central optical part, a peripheral haptic part including a plurality of support elements arranged to lie on a ciliary zonule of an eye, and at least one flexible haptic including a reticulated distal region arranged to lay into a ciliary sulcus of the eye.
Phakic intraocular lens
The present invention is a phakic intraocular lens for implantation between an iris and a crystalline lens. The phakic intraocular lens includes a diffraction grating 5 disposed in a lens central part 2 and having circular, coaxial grooves formed thereon, and a support part 3 disposed outside the diffraction grating 5 and supporting the diffraction grating 5. A hole 6 is formed in the center of the diffraction grating 5.
ACCOMMODATING INTRAOCULAR LENSES
Accommodating intraocular lenses including an optic having an anterior element and a posterior element defining an optic fluid chamber, wherein the optic is aspheric across all powers throughout accommodation or disaccommodation. Intraocular lenses, optionally accommodating, where an optic portion is centered with a midline of a height of the peripheral portion, the height measured in the anterior to posterior direction.
Sulcus implants and methods of using the same
This disclosure provides ophthalmic implants such as sulcus implants which can comprise one or more drug delivery devices. Further provided herein are methods of using the drug delivery ophthalmic devices described herein for implantation into a subject's eye, e.g., into an eye's ciliary sulcus or capsular bag.
MULTI-PIECE ACCOMMODATING INTRAOCULAR LENS
An accommodating intraocular lens (AIOL) for implantation within a capsular bag of a patient's eye comprises first and second components coupled together to define an inner fluid chamber and an outer fluid reservoir. The inner region of the AIOL provides optical power with one or more of the shaped fluid within the inner fluid chamber or the shape of the first or second components. The fluid reservoir comprises a bellows region with fold(s) extending circumferentially around an optical axis of the eye. The bellows engages the lens capsule, and a compliant fold region between inner and outer bellows portions allows the profile of the AIOL to deflect when the eye accommodates for near vision. Fluid transfers between the inner fluid chamber and the outer fluid reservoir to provide optical power changes. A third lens component coupled to the first or second component provides additional optical power.
Multi-component contact lens having posterior and anterior features
An ophthalmic device includes a rigid insert and an enclosure enveloping the rigid insert. The enclosure includes a cornea contact formed on a concave side of the enclosure. The cornea contact has a ring-shape that protrudes from the concave side of the enclosure and is disposed under at least a portion of the rigid insert. The ring-shape of the cornea contact includes a plurality of discontinuous sections. The plurality of channels are disposed on the concave side of the enclosure and each extend through a corresponding one of the discontinuous sections of the cornea contact.
A third lens component coupled to the first or second component provides additional optical power.
PROSTHETIC CAPSULAR DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A prosthetic capsular device configured to be inserted in an eye after removal of a lens, in some embodiments, can comprise a housing structure comprising capable of containing an intraocular device and an equiconvex refractive surface. The housing structure can comprise an anterior portion comprising an anterior opening, a posterior portion comprising a posterior opening, and a continuous lateral portion between the anterior portion and the posterior portion.
Patterns for flow control and bioadhesion control
An article includes a path that extends across at least a portion of a surface of the article, the path being defined by at least one channel that traverses at least a portion of the surface or a first plurality of spaced features disposed on or in at least a portion of the surface. The first plurality of spaced features are arranged in a plurality of groupings. The groupings of features comprise repeat units, where the spaced features within a grouping are spaced apart at an average distance of about 1 nanometer to about 500 micrometers to define a path that traverses the plurality of spaced features.
Posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens
A posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens comprising a central optical part, a peripheral haptic part comprising a plurality of support elements arranged to lie on a ciliary zonule of an eye, and at least one flexible haptic comprising a reticulated distal region arranged to lay into a ciliary sulcus of the eye.
