MONITORING SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR HEART IMPLANTS
A prosthetic valve comprises a frame assembly having a first opening at an inflow portion of the frame assembly and a second opening at an outflow portion of the frame assembly, a first sensor device situated at the inflow portion of the frame, and a second sensor device situated at the outflow portion of the frame. Each of the first sensor device and the second sensor device is configured to sense a physical parameter and provide a sensor signal. The prosthetic valve further comprises a transmitter assembly configured to receive the sensor signals from the first sensor device and the second sensor device and wirelessly transmit a transmission signal based at least in part on the sensor signals.
PROSTHETIC VALVE SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS
A prosthetic heart valve for deployment in a native heart valve. The prosthetic heart valve includes an inner frame and a plurality of anchors extending from a distal portion of the inner frame. An outer sealing frame is positioned radially outward of the inner frame. The distal end portion of the outer frame is attached to a distal portion of the inner frame by a flexible cloth material such that the outer frame can move axially or tilt with respect to the inner frame. The anchors are shaped to capture native leaflets between the anchors and the outer frame to secure the prosthetic valve in the native heart valve. Prosthetic valve leaflets are provided in a lumen of the inner frame for allowing one way flow through the prosthetic valve, thereby replacing the function of the native heart valve.
COMPRESSIBLE SHUNT IMPLANT
A medical implant comprises a central flow portion having a first network of struts forming two or more cells, a first set of anchoring arms, and a second set of anchoring arms. The two or more cells are arranged linearly and extend from the first set of anchoring arms to the second set of anchoring arms.
APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSING A REPLACEMENT HEART VALVE IMPLANT
An apparatus for compressing a replacement heart valve implant may include a tubular member having a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a lumen of the tubular member, wherein the inner surface includes a tapered portion having a radially inward taper in a distal direction, and a plurality of flexible arms projecting radially inward from the tapered portion. The plurality of flexible arms may project radially inward from the inner surface at least 50% of a distance from the inner surface to a central longitudinal axis of the tubular member in an unbiased configuration. The plurality of flexible arms may be configured to push a plurality of leaflets of the replacement heart valve implant radially inward as the replacement heart valve implant passes through the tubular member.
TRANSCATHETER VALVE DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH OMNIDIRECTIONAL STEERING AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A delivery system for prosthetic heart valves are provided. The delivery system includes a flexible shaft, a distal sheath capsule configured to contain the prosthetic heart valve, an inner steerable catheter including an inner distal flex component, and an outer steerable catheter including an outer distal flex component. The inner distal flex component includes a first cut pattern and a second cut pattern distal to the first cut pattern. The outer distal flex component includes a third cut pattern. The inner steerable catheter is rotatable at least 90 degrees relative to the outer steerable catheter when the third cut pattern of the outer distal flex component is disposed over at least a portion of the first cut pattern of the inner distal flex component and each of the inner steerable catheter and the outer steerable catheter is in the flexed configuration.
PROSTHETIC MITRAL VALVE AND DELIVERY METHOD
A valve prosthesis and methods for implanting the prosthesis are provided. The prosthesis generally includes a self-expanding frame and two or more engagement arms. A valve prosthesis is sutured to the self-expanding frame. Each engagement arm corresponds to a native mitral valve leaflet. At least one engagement arm immobilizes the native leaflets, and holds the native leaflets close to the main frame. The prosthetic mitral valve frame also includes two or more anchor attachment points. Each anchor attachment point is attached to one or more anchors that help attach the valve prosthesis to the heart.
Transcatheter valve with torsion spring fixation and related systems and methods
Described is a prosthetic valve, comprising: an expandable stent including an inner lumen and having a first and a second end; and a spring attached to the first end of the expandable stent; wherein the expandable stent and the spring can expand radially to a desired diametric configuration in order to anchor the prosthetic valve at an implantation position in a body lumen. Related systems and methods.
PROJECTING MEMBER WITH BARB FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DEVICES
A medical implant including an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, the expandable framework comprising a plurality of interconnected struts defining a plurality of cells; and an occlusive element connected to the expandable framework and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The expandable framework may include a plurality of securement members projecting from the plurality of interconnected struts. One of the inner surface or the outer surface of the occlusive element may be in contact with the plurality of interconnected struts, and the other of the inner surface and the outer surface not in contact with the plurality of interconnected struts may lie against an opposing surface of each of the plurality of securement members. A tip portion of the plurality of securement members may not extend radially outward of the plurality of interconnected struts.
TRANS-SEPTAL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A delivery system for delivering a heart valve prosthesis includes a heart valve prosthesis and a delivery catheter. The heart valve prosthesis includes an anchoring member and an inner valve support, and further includes a radially collapsed configuration and a radially expanded configuration. The delivery catheter includes a handle, an outer shaft, an intermediate shaft, an inner shaft, and a distal tip component. The delivery catheter further includes a delivery configuration. In the delivery configuration, the outer shaft of the delivery catheter is configured to retain a first portion of the anchoring member, the intermediate shaft is configured to retain a first portion of the inner valve support, and the distal tip component is configured to retain a second end of the anchoring member and a second end of the inner valve support each in a radially compressed state.
