Transcatheter prosthetic heart valve delivery system with distal cutting assembly
The disclosure relates to transcatheter stented prosthesis delivery devices including a handle assembly connected to a shaft assembly on which a stented prosthesis is loaded and compressively retained with a plurality of elongate tension members. The delivery devices include a cutting assembly that can sever the elongate tension members after the stented prosthesis is expanded at a target site so that the delivery device can be withdrawn from the patient. Certain embodiments position the cutting assembly at least within the shaft assembly and others position the cutting assembly over the shaft assembly. Various disclosed cutting assemblies are actuated with the handle assembly or the like, which draw the tension members across the blade or vice versa.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLED HEART VALVE DELIVERY
A prosthetic implant delivery assembly can include a prosthetic implant and an elongate catheter. The prosthetic implant can include an expandable stent portion having a longitudinal axis extending from a first end portion of the stent to a second end portion of the stent. The catheter can include a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end portion of the catheter to a distal end portion of the catheter and a plurality of arms extending axially from the distal end of the catheter. The first end portion of the stent can be releasably and pivotably coupled to at least one the arms of the catheter such that the stent can pivot about the at least one of the arms so that the longitudinal axis of the stent is tilted relative to the longitudinal axis of the catheter.
Replacement valve and method
A replacement valve has an expandable frame configured to engage a native valve and a valve body mounted to the expandable frame. The valve body can have a plurality of valve leaflets configured to open to allow flow in a first direction and engage one another so as to close and prevent flow in a second direction, the second direction being opposite the first direction.
Delivery And Retrieval Systems For Collapsible/Expandable Prosthetic Heart Valves
A system for delivering a collapsible and re-expandable prosthetic heart valve into a patient includes a valve support structure around which the valve is disposed in a collapsed condition. A sheath structure surrounds the collapsed valve, but can be moved relative to the valve to uncover it for expansion at the desired implant site in the patient. The sheath structure may be variously mounted and moved to deploy the valve in various ways. For example, the sheath structure may include multiple parts, each of which can be moved separately to separately deploy various parts of the valve. The apparatus may have other aspects, such as the ability to reverse deployment of the valve, the ability to pass other instrumentation through the valve delivery apparatus, the ability to be smoothly withdrawn from the patient after deployment of the valve, etc.
PROSTHETIC IMPLANT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH INTRODUCER CATHETER
A delivery system and a method for deploying a cardiovascular prosthetic implant using a minimally invasive procedure are disclosed. The delivery system comprises an introducer catheter, a delivery catheter having a proximal end and a distal end, and a seal assembly, wherein an outer diameter of the distal end of the delivery catheter is greater than an inner diameter of the distal end of the introducer catheter.

Prosthetic valve delivery apparatus having clutch mechanism
In a particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a delivery apparatus for delivering a medical device. The delivery apparatus includes an elongated component with an engagement portion and a disengagement portion. Rotating the elongated component in a first rotational direction moves the travelling component along the engagement portion in a first axial direction. When the travelling component is located within the disengagement portion, continued rotation of the elongated component in the first rotational direction does not cause further movement of the travelling component in the first axial direction. A biasing member is located proximate the disengagement portion and urges the travelling component to reengage the engagement portion. The delivery apparatus can reduce or prevent damage to the delivery apparatus, or a patient with whom the delivery apparatus is used, by reducing or eliminating torque transfer from the travelling component to an end of the elongated component.
TENSIONED SHEATHING AIDS
A medical device apparatus may include a medical implant including an anchor member configured to actuate between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration operatively connected to a delivery system, the delivery system including an outer sheath and an inner catheter disposed within the outer sheath, and a sheathing aid connecting the delivery system to the medical implant, the sheathing aid being configured to guide the medical implant into the outer sheath upon relative closing movement therebetween. The sheathing aid may include a plurality of tethers extending from the inner catheter to a proximal end of the anchor member, and a release mechanism slidably disposed within a coupler ring coupled to a distal end of the inner catheter. The plurality of tethers may be releasably coupled to the release mechanism.
Loading systems for collapsible prosthetic heart valve devices and methods thereof
Loading systems for prosthetic heart valve devices are disclosed. A loading funnel is provided within a watertight interior space that is at least partially filled or fillable with biocompatible fluid. Funnel may have a cylindrical end to which is connected a delivery catheter having a lumen that will receive the collapsed prosthetic heart valve device. An expanded prosthetic heart valve device may be placed within the funnel and pushed or pulled into the funnel which provides a predictable, reliable and repeatable surface for collapsing the prosthetic heart valve device. Ultimately the prosthetic heart valve device is collapsed and translated into the lumen of the delivery catheter for further translation therealong and release into the heart chamber of interest.
SHEATHING AID
A medical device apparatus may include a medical implant including a braided anchor member configured to actuate between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration operatively connected to a delivery system. The delivery system may include a handle, an outer sheath extending distally from the handle, and an inner catheter disposed within the outer sheath. A sheathing aid may connect the delivery system to the medical implant, the sheathing aid being configured to guide the medical implant into the outer sheath upon relative closing movement therebetween. The sheathing aid may include a plurality of arms extending from the inner catheter to a proximal end of the braided anchor member. At least one arm of the plurality of arms may comprise a core member having a width and a flexible member positioned about the core member.
