Moment induced total arthroplasty prosthetic
A prosthetic total knee replacement system comprises a distal femoral implant component, a tibial tray implant component and a fixed bearing tibial tray insert. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert is fixed to the tibial tray and articulates with the distal femoral implant component. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert component has a medial-lateral centerline and a stabilizing post. The stabilizing post has a medial-lateral centerline offset laterally from the medial-lateral centerline of the fixed bearing tibial tray insert.
AN ORTHOPAEDIC IMPLANT AND A SURGICAL ORTHOPAEDIC SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
An orthopaedic implant for use with or as part of an orthopaedic implant system, comprising: a body having a bone facing surface configured to mate with a prepared surface of a bone; and bone engaging means extending from said bone facing surface and being adapted to extend into corresponding cavities formed in the prepared surface of the bone when said body is mated with the bone, said bone engaging means comprising one or more of: guiding means adapted to guide the implant into its fixated position with the bone; integration means adapted to promote integration of the implant with the bone; and securing means adapted to secure the implant to the prepared surface of the bone.
POROUS MATERIAL WITH MICROSCALE FEATURES
Provided herein is technology relating to materials having microscale and/or nanoscale features and particularly, but not exclusively, to porous materials comprising microscale features, methods for producing porous materials comprising microscale features, drug delivery vehicles, and related kits, systems, and uses.
Spinal complex cage
Disclosed is a spinal complex cage, which includes a cage which is made of a polymeric material, and metal covers which are formed on upper and lower portions of the cage, respectively, in which couplers formed on the metal covers are coupled to coupling grooves formed in the cage, such that the metal covers are detachably coupled to the upper and lower portions of the cage. Accordingly, because the cage and the metal cover are detachably coupled to each other, the manufacturing method is simple, and the metal cover is easily coupled to or separated from the cage, such that the spinal complex cage may be variously and quickly applied even during the surgery in accordance with shapes or intervals between the vertebral bodies, and as a result, a spinal fusion rate is excellent, and the accurate and precise surgical operation is enabled.
FOOT PROSTHESIS COMPRISING A DAMPING ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a foot prosthesis (1, 61) comprising a heel (6, 71) and a tip (7, 62), both of which can bear on the ground, and an ankle support (2, 67), characterised in that the prosthesis also comprises at least one damping element (10, 76) designed to be at a distance from the ground.
TRIAL FEMORAL HEAD PROSTHESIS
A trial femoral head for use in a trial fitting of a hip prosthesis, the head having an outer surface and a plurality of cavities configured to mate with a male connection member of a femoral stem component, each cavity having an opening located in the outer surface of the head, each opening being of a different size such that when the male connection member of the femoral stem component is mated with a first cavity it is received at a first depth, and when it is mated with a second cavity it is received at a second depth.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT TO IMPLANT PRIMARY AND SECONDARY ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a lattice support structure for one or more degenerated portions of subchondral bone of a bone epiphysis part of a human or animal joint, and to a related kit of parts and to a template assembly for the assembly thereof.
The lattice structure comprises at least one rod-shaped and substantially rectilinear rigid primary element configured to be housed within said bone epiphysis extending at least partially through said degenerated portion of subchondral bone along a respective primary extension direction; and a plurality of thread-like substantially rectilinear secondary elements configured to be housed within said bone epiphysis extending at least partially through said degenerated portion of subchondral bone along respective secondary extension directions, comprising first secondary elements configured to extend along respective first secondary extension directions and second secondary elements configured to extend along respective second secondary extension directions (Yd, Ye, Yf), the first and second secondary extension directions being oblique to one another, wherein the at least one primary element has a first transversal dimension greater than a second transversal dimension of said secondary elements.
The at least one primary element and the secondary elements are further configured to reach and cross at least partially, at respective opposite ends, cortical bone portions of said bone epiphysis.
Intervertebral Implant With Integrated Fixation
A system for spinal surgery includes a prosthesis comprising a plurality of bone anchors which engage an intervertebral construct for fusion or motion preservation. The fusion construct comprises a spacer optionally encircled by a jacket. The motion preservation construct may comprise an articulating disc assembly or an elastomeric disc assembly. Any of the constructs may occupy the intervertebral disc space between adjacent vertebrae after removal of an intervertebral disc. The anchors slidingly engage the construct to securely fix the prosthesis to the vertebrae. The anchors and jacket of the fusion construct provide a continuous load path across opposite sides of the prosthesis so as to resist antagonistic motions of the spine.
