The void filler includes a body and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The body has a sidewall defining an opening for receipt of the stem which extends along a length of the body and extends through the sidewall so as to form a side-slot in the sidewall that extends along an entire length of the sidewall. The plurality of legs each have a first end connected to the body and a second end remote from the body. The legs each have an outer surface that tapers between the first and second ends and is configured to register with a corresponding inner surface of a bone void when implanted in an end of the femur.

FLEXIBLE ACETABULAR IMPLANT

An acetabular cage or device is disclosed. In one embodiment, the acetabular cage includes a cup portion configured for implantation in an acetabulum and a flange extending from the cup portion. The flange including a first, bone contacting surface configured to face bony tissue surrounding the acetabulum when the cup portion is implanted into the acetabulum and a second, top surface opposite the first surface. The flange includes a flexible portion and a fixation portion, the fixation portion including one or more fixation features configured to facilitate fixation of the flange to the bony tissue surrounding the acetabulum. The flexible portion is arranged and configured to enable the flange, and hence the fixation portion, to move relative to the cup portion to facilitate placement of the flange relative to the bony tissue.

JOINT OSTEOTOMY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system includes a first spacer sized and configured to be received within a resected bone space of a first bone and a second spacer sized and configured to be coupled to a second bone. The first spacer and the second spacer each include a body extending between a bone contacting surface and a coupling surface. At least one shim is positioned between the first and second spacers. The shim includes a body extending between a first coupling surface and a second coupling surface. The first spacer, the second spacer, and the at least one shim position the first and second bones in a predetermined alignment. An adjustable guide including a guide adapter and a guide body is configured to couple to the first spacer and is adjustable on a first axis.

JOINT OSTEOTOMY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A resection guide includes a first body portion and a second body portion. The first body portion has a first bone engagement structure and defines a first plurality of holes. The second body portion has a second bone engagement structure and defines a second plurality of holes. The first body portion and the second body portion are operable to separate a first anatomical structure of a patient and a second anatomical structure of the patient. A cutting guide defines at least one guide aperture that is operable for guiding a cutting tool for use in resecting a portion of the second anatomical structure of the patient. The cutting guide is positionable relative to the first body portion.

A medical device for delivering an action to an area of a hip joint or its surroundings, inside a human body, is provided. The hip joint of a patient comprises a collum femur and a ball shaped caput femur, being the proximal parts of the femoral bone, and an acetabulum, being a bowl shaped part of the pelvic bone. The medical device comprising; an elongated member, having a length axis along its elongated distribution, comprising a first portion, adapted to enter the body of the patient, and a mechanical element, adapted to be used during an operation in the hip joint or its surroundings, inside the body. The first portion of the elongated member comprises a holding member adapted to hold the mechanical element inside the body of the patient, wherein the first portion of the elongated member have a first portion cross-section area substantially perpendicular to the length axis of the elongated member. The first portion is adapted to pass through a hole, in a bone of the patient, the hole having a hole cross-section area. The first portion cross-section area, is adapted to be smaller than said hole cross-section area. The mechanical element have a functional status, ready to deliver said action inside said body, when held by the holding member inside the body of the patient. The mechanical element is adapted to have a mechanical element cross-sectional area substantially perpendicular to the length axis of the elongated member, substantially larger than the first portion cross-sectional area and adapted to be unable to pass through the hole, when the mechanical element is in the functional status.

COUNTER-TORQUE IMPLANT

A bone plate system may include a bone plate having a bone-facing side, an obverse side displaced from the bone-facing side by a thickness of the bone plate, a first end, and second end displaced from the first end along a longitudinal length of the bone plate. The bone plate may have a first fastener hole extending through the bone plate between the bone-facing side and the obverse side, a second fastener hole extending through the bone plate between the bone-facing side and the obverse side, and a plug extending outwardly from the bone-facing side. The plug may have a cross-sectional shape, perpendicular to the thickness, that is elongated along the longitudinal length.
