IMPLANT WITH ABILITY TO CAPTURE EXTRAVASATING FIXATION MEDIUM
A surgical implant with recesses adapted to capture fixation medium that extravasates during implantation. The implant includes an elongated stem having a distal tip configured for insertion into an implant receiving area of a patient. A collar having recesses for capturing extravasating fixation medium is attached on the stem. The collar can be fixed to the stem by a separable collar-engagement feature or the collar can be fixed to the stem via structures on the stem.
IMPLANTS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Implants, device, systems and methods for replacing an articulation surface in a joint, for example, a glenoid implant with an articular surface and an opposing bone contacting surface having a ring and post extending therefrom that respectively mechanically connect with cortical bone and cancellous bone of a glenoid. Methods for implanting the glenoid implant are also disclosed.
Implant with ability to capture extravasating fixation medium
A surgical implant with recesses adapted to capture fixation medium that extravazates during implantation. The implant includes an elongated stem having a distal tip configured for insertion into an implant receiving area of a patient. A collar designed to house recesses for capturing extravazating fixation medium is attached on the stem. The collar can be fixed to the stem by a separable collar-engagement feature or the collar can be fixed to the stem via structures on the stem.
Hip joint device and method
A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis by providing a joint surface is provided. The medical device comprises at least two artificial hip joint surface parts, wherein said at least two artificial hip joint surface parts are adapted to be connected to each other to form an artificial hip joint surface during an operation. Furthermore a method of treating a hip joint of a human patient by providing said the medical device is provided. The hip joint comprising a caput femur and an acetabulum, the method comprises the steps of: cutting the skin of said human patient, dissecting an area of the pelvic bone on the opposite side from said acetabulum, creating a hole in said dissected area, said hole passing through said pelvic bone and into said hip joint of said human patient, and providing said medical device to said hip joint, through said hole in said pelvic bone of said human patient.
Rotatable collar for a prosthesis
A collar arranged to couple to a prosthetic component for implantation at the end of a long bone, the prosthetic component having a distal portion arranged to couple to the bone and a proximal neck portion arranged to couple to an articulation component. The collar comprises a plate including a neck hole to receive a neck portion, such that the collar can rotate about the neck portion. The collar further comprises a plurality of attachment portions for coupling the plate to bone fragments or soft tissues. The collar is lockable to the neck portion to prevent further rotation. A prosthesis comprising a combination of a collar, a prosthetic component and an articulation component, and a surgical method of using the collar are also disclosed.

ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT STEM AND STEM PROVIDING METHOD
An artificial hip joint stem is used to replace the damaged femoral head or acetabulum and includes a stem body having a head fixing part, which fixes a head, and an operating space horizontally opened at the upper side thereof. A head insertion hole connects to the operating space. A screw part is inserted into the head insertion hole. An operation converting part is inserted into the operating space to vertically move by the screw part when the operation converting part is connected to the screw part. A fixing bracket is inserted into the operating space such that the screw part is fixed to rotate without changing the depth thereof. A variable operating part is inserted into a supporting surface of the stem body to adjust a horizontal width by means of the operation converting part. A movable pin fixes the variable operating part to the operation converting part.
MODULAR FEMORAL PROSTHESIS SYSTEM FOR HIP ARTHROPLASTY
A modular femoral prosthesis system for an orthopaedic hip implant and method of use is disclosed. The prosthesis system includes a femoral stem component and a plurality of collar components configured to be selectively coupled to the stem component in a fixed position adjacent to a neck of the stem component. Each of the collar components includes a base and is configured to secure an assembled femoral prosthesis to a patient's surgically prepared femur to provide stability for the assembled femoral prosthesis.
