HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE SPINAL FUSION CAGE
The present invention relates to a spinal fusion cage which is inserted between vertebral bodies in a state where the cage has the lowest height, is height-adjustable in the inserted state, and can simplify a height adjustment mechanism, thus making it possible to replace cages having heights in a certain range by a single cage. Therefore, manufacturers can reduce product groups that need to be produced, and can also reduce product stock. Further, in contrast to the conventional cages having predetermined heights at regular intervals, the height of the inventive cage can be linearly adjusted according to the distance between the vertebral bodies of a patient, and thus a surgery can be performed using the cage adjusted to an optimum height according to the patient’s condition.

The present invention relates to an anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body, comprising: an anchoring element, an abutment, an abutment screw for attaching the abutment to the anchoring element, the anchoring element comprises a connection area for the abutment, the connection area comprising a press-fit portion such that the abutment is attached to the anchoring element in the connection area by a press-fit connection, wherein the connection area comprises an anti-rotation geometry and the abutment comprising a corresponding mating anti-rotation geometry proximal to the press-fit portion, and where in the connection area comprises a conical portion proximal to the anti-rotational geometry forming a mating geometry for a corresponding conical portion in the through-hole of the abutment.
INTERVERTEBRAL SPACER
Intervertebral implant systems include spacers that may have solid and porous bodies integrally formed together as a single part. The bone-facing sides of the spacers include asymmetric lobes which may include solid and/or porous portions. Bone anchor holes may extend through the spacers and lobes, to receive bone anchors. A helically fluted bone anchor may be received in the bone anchor holes.

In some embodiments, the present disclosure relates to a system that includes an insertion tool and a drill guide. The insertion tool includes a body with a distal portion and a distal end. The body has a first engagement feature extending longitudinally along the distal portion and two arms extending longitudinally from the distal end of the body. The drill guide includes two bores and an open faced channel therebetween. The open faced channel includes a second engagement feature slidably engageable with the first engagement feature on the body of the insertion tool. The two bores are adapted for the disposal of a fastener driver tool therethrough.

Disclosed is a system for delivering a facet screw assembly to a facet joint. The system includes a facet screw assembly and a delivery device. The distal end of the delivery device includes a facet screw engagement feature, which is keyed to a corresponding delivery device engagement feature. In other embodiments, the system may include a facet screw assembly, a facet access guide, a washer sizer tool removably engaged with the facet access guide, a lateral mass decorticator guide slidably and removably engaged with the washer size tool, a washer implant delivery tool removably engaged with the facet access guide and detachably coupled to the facet screw assembly, and optionally an impact handle detachably coupled to the facet access guide, washer sizer tool, and washer implant delivery tool.

An inserter includes a first end, a second end, and a body extending between the first end and the second end. A first impacting surface is disposed at the first end, and a second impacting surface is disposed adjacent to the second end. An interface disposed at the second end and is configured to engage an implant. The first impacting surface is configured to direct a first impacting force along the body of the inserter in a first direction, and the second impacting surface is configured to direct a second impacting force along the body in a second direction that is different from the first direction. A support apparatus for supporting an end of a distraction marrow nail includes a base plate attachable to the pelvis, and a mounting device on the base plate for mounting of the support end of the distraction marrow nail. The mounting device includes a ball seat having a cavity forming a ball seat surface for mounting a ball on the support end of the distraction marrow nail, wherein the inside radius of the ball seat surface corresponds to the outside radius of the ball, and wherein the ball seat is arranged so that the ball of the distraction marrow nail can be movably mounted such that the distraction marrow nail can perform a movement sufficient for an extensively normal movement pattern of a femur and cannot luxate out of the ball seat when implanted in the femur.
