LATERALIZED DUAL-MOBILITY ASSEMBLY

A modular acetabular cup assembly includes an acetabular cup, and a liner seated in the cup. The cup includes an end face, an apex opposite the end face, and a central axis extending between the apex and a center point of the end face. The liner includes an articular surface having a center of rotation which defines a pivot point of the acetabular cup assembly. In certain embodiments, the pivot point is laterally offset from the center point such that the end face is located between the pivot point and the apex.

Bone fusion device, system and method
12011366 · 2024-06-18 ·

A bone fusion method, system and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together in order to replace degenerated discs and/or bones, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device includes a body and an extendable plate. The bone fusion device is able to be inserted between or replace the vertebrae by using a minimally invasive procedure wherein the dimensions and/or other characteristics of the bone fusion device are selectable based on the type of minimally invasive procedure.

SACROILIAC JOINT FIXATION

Bone anchor implants, assemblies, systems, instruments, and methods thereof. The bone anchors may be threaded or non-threaded, adjustable or expandable, stackable, or otherwise configured to promote fixation of the sacroiliac joint. The bone anchors may be used independently or may be configured to integrate with long rod constructs, for example, with a tulip or other suitable attachment interface, to fuse the sacroiliac joint.

Minimally invasive systems for and methods of preparing and fusing a sacroiliac joint during interventional procedures

A system for performing a minimally invasive interventional fusion procedure on a sacroiliac joint of a patient. The system may include a disposable sterile packed implant and kit including access, bone cutting, accessory and extraction instruments.

Artificial disc replacements with natural kinematics
10299933 · 2019-05-28 · ·

This invention improves upon prior art total disc replacements (TDRs) by more closely replicating the kinematics of a natural disc. The preferred embodiments feature two or more fixed centers of rotation (CORs) and an optional variable COR (VCOR) as the artificial disk replacement (ADR) translates from a fixed posterior COR that lies posterior to the COR of the TDR to facilitate normal disc motion. The use of two or more CORs allows more flexion and more extension than permitted by the facet joints and the artificial facet (AF). AF joint-like components may also be incorporated into the design to restrict excessive translation, rotation, and/or lateral bending.

COMPONENTS FOR ARTIFICIAL JOINTS

A component of an artificial joint according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, inter alia, a base plate and a post selectively removable from the base plate. Further, an outer surface of the post includes a layer of the bone ingrowth material along substantially the entire length of the post.

Revision Glenoid Device and Method

A glenoid component in one embodiment includes a base component with a planar upper circular rim defining a first plane, a receptacle opening to the first plane, a lower planar circular surface defining a second plane parallel to the first plane, and a conical outer wall extending from the upper circular rim to the lower planar circular surface. The glenoid component includes an articulating component with an upper articulating surface and a lower coupling portion configured to be inserted into the receptacle.

Artificial joint cup

An artificial joint cup, in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface. In addition, the joint cup comprises an outer diameter and an inner diameter. The ratio of the difference between the outer diameter and the inner diameter, in relation to the outer diameter, is in a range of between 0.5 and 0.07, preferably between 0.3 and 0.075, particularly preferably between 0.2 and 0.1. The joint cup is manufactured from a ceramic material, and the convex outer surface has a micro-structuring.

THREADED AUGMENTABLE ACETABULAR SHELL WITH AUGMENTS

An acetabular prosthesis is described that includes a shell having an outer surface and an inner surface, the outer surface defining an external shape. There is at least one through bore extending from the outer surface of the shell to the inner surface of the shell. At least one augment is configured to be positioned at least partially within the at least one through bore of the shell such that, in an assembled state, the shell and the at least one augment define a modified external shape.
