Fastener
A fastening element is provided. The fastening element includes a gripping portion having a first face and a second face the first face of the gripping portion comprising a plurality of gripping elements, and an anchoring portion offset from the second face and extending parallel thereto so as to form a flange portion, wherein the flange portion comprises at least one chamfer located at a terminal section of the flange portion.
Releasable fastenings with barriers
A releasable fastening features a first fastening strip including an elongated, flexible base carrying an array of discrete fastener elements arranged in rows and columns, and a second fastening strip configured to releasably engage with the first fastening strip. The first fastening strip also includes a longitudinally continuous rib supported by the upper surface of the base of the first fastening strip, the rib extending sufficiently far from the base of the first fastening strip to engage a sealing portion of the second fastening strip, and of a bending strength sufficiently low that the rib is placed in an elastically bent state, when the first and second fastening strips are in the engaged state, thereby forming with the sealing portion of the second fastening strip a non-interlocking barrier to resist flow across the fastening with the first and second fastening strips in the engaged state.
Surface fastener and surface fastener latch element combination
A surface fastener which includes a hook surface fastener (A) and a loop surface fastener (B), or a mixed surface fastener (C). The hook surface fastener (A) has hook fastener elements made of monofilaments on a surface of a base fabric. The loop surface fastener (B) has loop fastener elements made of multifilaments and capable of engaging with the hook fastener elements on a surface of a base fabric. The mixed surface fastener (C) has hook fastener elements made of monofilaments and loop fastener elements made of multifilaments on the same surface of a base fabric. The monofilaments are made from a polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester resin, and the multifilaments are made of a polybutylene terephthalate-based polyester resin.
FASTENING SYSTEM
A fastening system for securing a first region having a first securing member and a second region having a second securing member. The system includes a first surface fastener provided on a first securing member and a second surface fastener provided on a first securing member or a second securing member. That securing member, out of the first securing member and the second securing member, having the second surface fastener provided thereon includes the second surface fastener and a substrate having the second surface fastener laminated thereon.
Method of separating strands on a stretching surface
A method of increasing a width of a polymeric netting is disclosed. The method includes providing a polymeric netting having a length in a machine direction and running the polymeric netting in the machine direction onto a stretchable surface. The polymeric netting is in contact with the stretchable surface for a path length in the machine direction, and for at least a portion of the path length, the stretchable surface is stretching in the cross-machine direction. The traction between the polymeric netting and the stretchable surface during the stretching increases the width of at least a portion of the polymeric netting in the cross-machine direction.
ROLLS FOR MANUFACTURE OF FASTENING TABS
The present invention relates to rolls of an elongated material and to methods of manufacturing fastening tabs.
Tissue refill for tissue recovery
A tissue paper refill for a tissue paper dispenser. The refill includes a web of tissue paper having a leading end and a trailing end for engagement with the trailing end and leading end respectively of a previous and subsequent refill. The web is provided with a mechanical connector at one or both of its ends to realize such engagement. The mechanical connector is water soluble for the purpose of tissue recovery. Also, a method of tissue recovery.
Surface Fastener and Molding Device
A surface fastener includes a base part and a plurality of engaging elements formed integrally with the base part. A lower half part of the stem portion has a first shape in which an outer surface is formed straightly or substantially straightly on viewing the engagement element from the machining direction, and the lower half part has a second shape including a part where an outer surface is curved toward the surface of the base part on viewing engagement element from the cross direction. Thus, the surface fastener has a structure and/or characteristic that is different between the machining direction and the cross direction.
