Multiple upstream split support in a fiber-deep HFC network
Systems and methods for achieving full duplex bidirectional transmission across coaxial cable in a hybrid fiber-coaxial cable TV network. Some preferred systems and method will attenuate reflections propagated within the coaxial cable. Other preferred systems may echo-cancel reflections propagated within the coaxial cable.
HARDWARE ARCHITECTURE FOR UNIVERSAL TESTING SYSTEM: CABLE MODEM TEST
A hardware architecture for a universal testing system used for performing tests on cable modem devices (DUT) is disclosed. According to certain embodiments, a CMTS test harness enables the DUT to respond to test phone calls from the MOCA interface and which test phone calls terminate at the DUT's phone port.
PON SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD
To ensure the origination of an emergency call from a terminal device when a communication failure due to the continuous light-emission of an ONU occurs in a PON system, a PON system includes an OLT and a plurality of ONUs connected to the OLT through an optical branching device, where data is transmitted to the OLT by time-division multiplexing. The ONU includes an emergency call detection unit that detects an emergency call request from a telephone terminal, and an emergency call origination control unit that outputs, to the optical branching device, a disconnection request for disconnecting ONUs from the OLT when the emergency call request is detected and connection of the ONU to the OLT is not established. The optical branching device includes an optical line control unit that disconnects the ONUs from the OLT in response to the disconnection request.
Assignment and/or installation of cable modem devices to be used with a hybrid fiber coaxial network part of a broadband access network
A method includes: providing cable modem identification information of a specific cable modem device and infrastructure identification information of a specific coaxial infrastructure access point is provided to an operations support system of a telecommunications network; transmitting the cable modem identification information, the infrastructure identification information, and line identification information to an access orchestrator entity of the telecommunications network; and performing or triggering attachment to the broadband access network using the specific coaxial infrastructure access point and a specific hybrid fiber coaxial network equipment.
Mouse over elephant
An optical switch plane with one or more switch layers, each layer with multiple switches is provided. In a data center, an optical circuit switch plane is added between the device plane and packet switch plane. Direct speed of light connections may be created between devices, the data center temporally shrunk, remote devices localized, elephant flows kept out of mouse switches, mouse switch spend reduced, stranded resources recovered, layer 1 reconfigured and optimized, bare metal bent, secure tunnels created, networks physically isolated, failure resiliency increased, and packet switch congestion avoided.
Information processing method, network node, authentication method, and server
The present embodiments relate to an information processing method, a network node, an authentication method, and a server. In one embodiment, a method includes generating a virtual access node corresponding to a first access node on a central node in response to determining that no virtual access node corresponding to the first access node currently exists on the central node; obtaining, by the virtual access node on the central node, configuration information related to the first access node; and sending, by the virtual access node to the first access node, the configuration information related to the first access node, after the first access node goes online.
Wireless broadband meter collar
A broadband access system, comprising a broadband access hub device (hub device) and broadband access premise devices (premise devices) wirelessly coupled the hub device to provide broadband services to multiple user equipment (UEs), is described. The hub device may access broadband services on a fiber optic broadband network and wirelessly provide access to the broadband services to the premise devices. The premise device may wirelessly communicate with the hub device and communicate with user equipment (UEs) for providing access to the broadband services through the hub device. The premise device may be attached to an electric utility meter, and a power interface module of the premise device may supply electrical power to the premise device from the electric utility meter. Additionally, the first communication module of the premise device may be external to the premise device and be mounted remotely from the premise device.
POWER ADAPTER FOR POWER SUPPLY UNIT
In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a power adapter configured for direct connection to a Power Supply Unit (PSU) installed in a network device, the power adapter comprising a power input port for receiving power on an Ethernet cable, a power converter module for converting the power received at the power input port to a PSU input power, and a power output connector for connection with a PSU power input connector.
Cable media converter management method, apparatus, and system
A cable media converter (CMC) management method, including receiving, by a CMC controller by using a management channel, a second message packet sent by a CMC, where the second message packet has an identifier of the CMC and configuration file information of a cable modem (CM), and where the identifier of the CMC uniquely identifies the CMC, and determining, by the CMC controller according to a locally saved correspondence between an optical line terminal (OLT) and a CMC, an OLT corresponding to the CMC identified by the identifier in the second message packet, and sending the configuration file information in the second message packet to the determined OLT.
ASSIGNMENT AND/OR INSTALLATION OF CABLE MODEM DEVICES TO BE USED WITH A HYBRID FIBER COAXIAL NETWORK PART OF A BROADBAND ACCESS NETWORK
