Rotating device, housing, and electronic device
Provided is a rotating device, a housing, and an electronic device including the housing and a flexible screen. The housing includes a first frame body, a second frame body, and the rotating device. The rotating device is connected between the first frame body and the second frame body to fold or unfold the first and second frame bodies. The rotating device includes at least one pair of rotation assemblies, and a gear assembly between the rotation assemblies. Each rotation assembly includes a support frame and a rotating rack rotatably connected to the support frame. The rotating rack is provided with a driving gear engaging with the gear assembly. The rotating racks of one pair of rotation assemblies are synchronously rotatable by rotating the rotating rack relative to a corresponding support frame to rotate a corresponding driving gear, and further rotating the gear assembly by the corresponding driving gear.

Proposed is a foldable hinge module for a portable terminal, and more particularly, a foldable hinge module for a portable terminal that can easily unfold or fold a flexible display mounted on the portable terminal. In the foldable hinge module for a portable terminal, the flexible display can be smoothly unfolded or folded as the first rotary plate and the second rotary plate are easily rotated in the Y axis direction, by using the gear set part engaged with the first gear part formed in the first rotary plate and the second gear part formed in the second rotary plate to be operated.

The present application provides a hinge, a flexible display panel, and an electronic device. The electronic device includes a flexible display panel including a flexible portion and a hinge, and the hinge includes a fixing bracket, a rotating mechanism, and a first support plate. When the flexible portion is in a flat state, the first support plate supports the flexible portion to reduce creases of the flexible portion. When the flexible portion is in a bent state, the first support plate is away from the flexible portion to prevent the flexible display panel from being pressed.

A foldable display device includes: a display panel including a foldable display area; a first base plate overlapping a portion of the foldable display area to guide folding of the display panel; a second base plate overlapping another portion of the foldable display area to guide the folding of the display panel together with the first base plate; a first rotor coupled to the first base plate to rotate around a first virtual rotation axis, a second rotor coupled to the second base plate to rotate around a second virtual rotation axis; a follower in contact with the first and second rotors to reciprocate in a first direction by rotation of at least one of the first and second rotors; and a bracket coupled to the first and second rotors to guide a rotation path of each of the first and second rotors.

Disclosed is a mobile terminal having a flexible display. The present application provides a mobile terminal comprising: a first body; a second body rotatably provided in the first body; a display which is provided on surfaces, of the first and second bodies, which face each other when the first and second bodies rotate, the display being configured to fold when the first and second bodies rotate toward each other and unfold when the first and second bodies rotate away from each other; a first hinge which rotatably couples the first and second bodies and is configured to revolve around first and second axes disposed between the first and second bodies; and a second hinge which rotatably couples the first and second bodies and is configured to interlock the first and second bodies in order to rotate the first and second bodies together.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display including a first area, a second area, and a folding area between the first area and the second area, a first housing configured to support the first area, a second housing configured to support the second area, and a hinge assembly configured to connect the first housing and the second housing, wherein the hinge assembly includes a hinge bracket including a pair of first rail structures formed to define a pair of hinge axes, a pair of hinge structures having one side connected to the first housing or the second housing and another side rotatably connected about the hinge axis along the first rail structure, and including a first cam structure. an intermediate member connected to the hinge bracket, and an elastic member configured to provide an elastic force to the intermediate member.
Close clearance hinge systems
A variable pitch clamshell hinge for use with clamshell housings includes a first shaft coupled to a first variable diameter device and a second shaft coupled to a second variable diameter device. The first variable diameter device and the second variable diameter device are coupled together using an inelastic linking element. As the shafts are rotated in a first direction the variable diameter devices increase in diameter. As the shafts are rotated in a second direction that is opposite the first direction, the variable diameter devices decrease in diameter. As the variable diameter devices increase in diameter, the inelastic linking element exerts a compressive force on the variable diameter devices, decreasing the distance (i.e., the pitch) between the shafts. As the variable diameter devices decrease in diameter, the inelastic linking element relaxes the compressive force on the variable diameter devices, increasing the distance between the shafts.
Connection mechanism, foldable display device and communication device
A connection mechanism includes fixing seats, rotary seats, and transmission gears. Each of the fixing seats includes base and shaft holes provided at two sides of the arc-shaped base. The rotary seats and the transmission gears are clamped between two adjacent fixing seats. Each of the rotary seats includes a seat body, an arc-shaped groove longitudinally penetrating through the seat body, and a teeth structure formed by laterally extending from a middle portion of the seat body below the arc-shaped groove. Each of the two transmission gears includes a rotation shaft and a gear fixed onto the rotation shaft and engaged with the teeth structure, wherein the rotation shaft passes through the arc-shaped groove and includes two ends respectively limited inside the shaft holes of two adjacent fixing seats.

A foldable electronic device is provided. The foldable electronic device includes a central body, a linkage unit, a plurality of operating mechanisms, and a plurality of panel bodies. The linkage unit includes a plurality of driving shafts. Each of the operating mechanism has a wing rod, a lifting plate, and a connecting rod. The wing rod is fixed to the lifting plate. The wing rod and the connecting rod pivotally connecting to the central body and the driving shaft respectively. When the panel bodies are in a folded status, a flexible screen is bent, and the wing rod, the lifting plate, and the central body collectively define a yielding space for accommodating a flexible section of the flexible section.
