FASTENER CHAIN

A fastener chain is disposed with a front side covered with left and right attached bodies and includes a pair of left and fastener stringers attached to the left and right attached bodies. The fastener stringers each include a fastener tape having a code core, and a fastener element array including elements fixed to the code core. The elements each include an element base provided with a tape fixing portion to which the code core is fixed and an element head portion. An engagement portion is provided in a state where the element head portions are engaged with each other. A space in which the attached bodies are to be sandwiched is provided between the elements of the left and right fastener stringers, on an upper side relative to the engagement portion.

Metallic element and slide fastener

Legs of a pair of legs are provided with core-thread-pressing surfaces that slant gradually to approach one another as being away from the stopping surfaces. Each core-thread-pressing surface extends from the stopping surface to the base end of the leg. A thickness of each leg in a thickness direction of the fastener tape gradually increases from the free end toward the base end of the leg in accordance with at least the slanting of the core-thread-pressing surface.

The present invention describes a zip comprising a pair of webbings (29; 38), each of which has in its side edges sequences of coupling elements or teeth (5; 12) facing with respect to their sector of joining with the webbing, each of these coupling elements (5; 12), being able to pivot around its central vertical axis thanks to a support placed between the coupling element (5; 12) and the webbing (29; 38), wherein the coupling element (5; 12) engages with the support and the latter with the webbing (29; 38), characterised in that said support consists of a cylinder (30) or of two half-cylinders (18, 19) placed in a specular manner at the opposite sides of the webbing (29).

Slide fastener chain and slide fastener

[Problem] To provide a slide fastener chain and a slide fastener, which have a small curvature radius and which have flexibility enabling the slide fastener chain and the slide fastener to be smoothly bent. [Solution] A slide fastener chain (1) comprises: a pair of fastener tapes (2); and elements (3) affixed to the facing edges (21) of the fastener tapes (2) at a predetermined pitch. The slide fastener chain (1) is characterized in that: the elements (3) each have bases (31a, 32a) affixed to a fastener tape (2) and each have heads (31c, 32c) protruding from the bases (31a, 32a) and engaging with facing elements (3); and the thickness (t) and pitch (p) of the elements (3) satisfy the following expressions (1) and (2).

A slider assembly includes: a slider comprising upper and lower plates provided with teeth guides, and a post connecting the upper and lower plates, the slider interlocking the teeth while advancing along the teeth arranged a set distance apart on each sides of first and second tapes; and separating the teeth while moving backwards therealong; a locking unit, disposed at the longitudinal-direction end of the first tape, for restricting the backward movement of the slider; and a bottom unit, disposed at the longitudinal-direction end of the second tape, elastically coupling with the locking unit by the vertical pressure (in the direction of the thickness of the tape) applied by the overlapping locking unit pressing down, and uncoupling therefrom by the force of moving the slider backwards. The slider assembly can be included in a zipper.
