Device for controlling a zip-closure system of an article and corresponding article
The invention relates to a monitor device for monitoring the closed or open state of an article, the monitor device being in the form of an electronic circuit comprising a zip closure system comprising two strips, each having fastened thereto a row of elements, referred to as teeth (11, . . . , 14, 20, . . . , 25), which elements are made of electrically conductive material. A slider (3) is mounted to slide along the strips and is configured, in one direction, to cause the teeth of one row to mesh with the teeth of the other row, and in the other direction, to separate the teeth. A detector-and-signaling device (4) is connected firstly to at least one of the teeth, referred to as a first terminal (21), and secondly to at least one of the other teeth, referred to as a second terminal (24). The detector-and-signaling device is configured to detect the state of electrical continuity between the first and second terminals (21, 24), and to issue a signal as a function of said detected continuity state. The first terminal (21) and the second terminal (24) are spaced apart from each other by at least one tooth (22, 23), said at least one tooth having no electrical connection with said terminals when the teeth of the two rows are in the separated state.

Zipper assembly
A zipper assembly includes various elements, such as a zipper-slider body and a zipper puller. The zipper puller can be gripped when manually traversing the zipper-slider body along zipper-teeth assemblies, such as when releasably fastening portions or edges of an article together. In addition, the zipper puller includes one or more additional hooking loops that releasably attach onto other surfaces or items.

Element, Fastener Stringer, and Slide Fastener
An element is configured to be installed together with a tape to form a fastener stringer, and includes: a main body including an upper main body and a lower main body; an installing portion for installing the tape; a head; and a neck connecting the main body and the head, wherein at least one of the upper main body and the lower main body includes a convex portion and a base portion, the convex portion protrudes from the base portion and extends in the left-right direction at an intermediate position in the front-rear direction. An inclined portion inclined downward along the left-right direction is formed on at least one side of the head along the upper-lower direction, and protrusions extending in the front-rear direction are formed on both sides of the convex portion.
CURVED SLIDE FASTENERS AND RELATED SYSTEMS
Woven and knit substrates having juxtaposed notches with finished edges are disclosed. Such substrates can be used as opposed fastener tapes and fastener elements can be formed, woven, or otherwise added to the opposed fastener tapes in a known fashion. The notched fastener tapes permit the resulting slide fastener to be curved in-plane without buckling either of the opposed the fastener tapes out-of-plane. The finished edges maintain structural integrity of the woven or knit substrates, in stark context to prior art substrates having cut notches. Also disclosed are panelized substrates having curved apertures and incorporating disclosed slide fasteners.

Slide fastener chain and slide fastener
There is provided a side fastener chain. A plurality of elements are fixed on each of opposing edge portions of a pair of fastener tapes at a predetermined pitch. The elements include a base portion and a head portion. A ratio (Rt) of the sum dimension of a first partial thickness, which is measured from an upper surface of each element to an upper surfaces-side apex of the respective edge portion, and a second partial thickness, which is measured from a lower surface of the element to a lower surface-side apex of the edge portion, to a thickness of the element satisfies the following equation: 40%Rt. A ratio (Rtl) of the thickness of the element to the entire length of the element satisfies the following equation: 0<Rtl<60%.

ZIPPER ASSEMBLY OF A RESEALABLE ENCLOSURE
A zipper assembly for an enclosure includes a flange having an interlocking side and an opposite panel side. The interlocking side has interlocking members configured to releasably engage and release from other interlocking members to alternate between closed and open states of the enclosure. The panel side is configured to be sealed to panels of the enclosure to affix the zipper assembly to the enclosure. The zipper assembly includes posts protruding from the panel side of the flange. The posts are configured to prevent compression of the posts and maintain a spatial separation between the panel side of the flange and the interlocking side of the flange while the zipper assembly is wound onto a supply roll. The posts are configured to collapse upon compression of the posts during sealing of the panel side of the flange to the panels of the enclosure to allow the panel side of the flange to be sealed to the panels.
