A clasp assembly is provided. The clasp assembly includes a first clasp member, a second clasp member, a first magnet, and a metallic component. The first clasp member defines a first cavity sized to receive a first portion of a zipper, and defines a first portion extending over the first cavity. The second clasp member defines a second cavity sized to receive a second portion of the zipper, and defines an overhang. The first magnet is secured to one of the first portion of the first clasp member and the overhang of the second clasp member. The metallic component is secured to another of the first portion of the first clasp member and the overhang of the second clasp member. The overhang is sized to receive the first portion of the first member to align the first magnet and the metallic component for magnetic interaction therebetween.

A slide fastener tape member includes a tape body and a core string portion disposed at a tape side edge portion of the tape body along a length direction. The core string portion is formed by fixing a string member at the tape side edge portion along the length direction by machine sewing. The string member is fixed linearly such that at least one thread used for machine sewing crosses while contacting an outer peripheral surface of the string member without being pierced by a needle thread of machine sewing. Thus, since the core string portion can be easily provided by fixing the string member to the tape body having desired properties at a later stage, the value-added tape members can be easily manufactured at a relatively low cost.

Elements are made of a polyacetal resin, which can effectively improve the chain crosswise strength while maintaining wear resistance. Provided is a fastener element made of a polyacetal resin composition containing 5 to 30% by mass of reinforcing fibers each having an average fiber diameter of 5 to 15 m and a numeric average fiber length of 150 to 500 m.

An electric slide fastener system includes a slide fastener chain that includes a pair of fastener tapes and element rows including a plurality of elements fixed to the respective fastener tapes, a slider that moves with respect to the slide fastener chain, a power supply that supplies power for the slider to move with respect to the slide fastener chain, and a driving part to which the power is supplied from the power supply and that moves the slider with respect to the slide fastener chain. The elements pass through the slider to open or close the element rows. The slider is powered from outside.

To provide an electric slide fastener system that can operate appropriately according to a state of an electric slider. An electric slide fastener system includes a slide fastener chain that includes a pair of fastener tapes and element rows including a plurality of elements fixed to the respective fastener tapes, a slider that moves with respect to the slide fastener chain, a power supply that supplies power for the slider to move with respect to the slide fastener chain, and a driving part to which the power is supplied from the power supply and that moves the slider with respect to the slide fastener chain. The elements pass through the slider to open or close the element rows. The slider is powered from outside.

A slide fastener reinforcing strap for securing across an opening formed between first and second tapes of a slide fastener is provided. The slide fastener reinforcing strap extends from a first end to a second end along a centerline. The slide fastener reinforcing strap includes a first protrusion between the first and second ends. The first protrusion extends in a first direction which is perpendicular to the centreline.

A slide fastener reinforcing strap for securing across an opening formed between first and second tapes of a slide fastener is provided. The slide fastener reinforcing strap extends from a first end to a second end along a centerline. The slide fastener reinforcing strap includes a first protrusion between the first and second ends. The first protrusion extends in a first direction which is perpendicular to the centreline.

There is provided an article with a slide fastener affixed thereto. Each of a pair of element members has a plurality of single elements made of a synthetic resin and fixedly integrated and connected to at least one flexible connecting string-shaped member at an equal interval. A slider is formed with an element guide path between upper and lower blades. A fastener-attached member forms an opening and closing part of the article. The pair of element members are directly sewn to a first surface of the fastener-attached member by sewing threads. The element members and the fastener-attached member are inserted into the element guide path of the slider.
