One or more embodiments of an image processing apparatus, control method and storage mediums for use therewith are provided herein. At least one embodiment of an image processing apparatus receives setting information related to a transmission of an image from an external apparatus, sets whether to display a confirmation screen related to the setting information on an operation unit, and controls to differentiate whether or not the confirmation screen related to the setting information is displayed on the operation unit after the setting information is received in accordance with whether or not the setting of displaying the confirmation screen is performed.

A multifunction peripheral that is capable of performing, in parallel, a plurality of processes including a scanning process on an original using a scanner section. A RAM holds image data generated by the scanner section. A scanner transfer section transfers data from the scanner section to the RAM. A transfer rate of data from the scanner section to the RAM is set by switching at least between a first transfer rate and a second transfer rate lower than the first transfer rate. In a case where a plurality of processes including the scanning process are executed in parallel, a data transfer rate is switched by switching the data transfer rate based on a user's operation performed on a console section.

A display controller includes: a display unit that displays information together with a menu of operations; a screen controller that switches at least one item included in the menu between full display and compact display for display; and an operation unit that accepts an operation from a user including an operation for the menu. In a case where the operation unit accepts the operation for the menu, the screen controller switches the compact display of the menu item to the full display in response to the operation. In a case where display other than the menu is updated, the screen controller switches the full display of the menu item to the compact display.

An image forming apparatus includes a display device that displays information and an image forming device that forms an image on a sheet. The image forming apparatus can cause the image forming device to form an image on the basis of a file acquired from an external system that manages files in a directory having a hierarchical structure. The image forming apparatus includes at least one controller that functions as a unit that acquires information which is information of a printable file of files managed by the external system and which includes at least storage directory information of the printable file, a unit that causes the display device to display a folder tree screen based on the storage directory information, and a unit that causes the image forming device to perform image formation based on a file selected on the folder tree screen.

A note-type personal computer according to the present invention has an LCD for displaying information stored in an internal storage provided therein, and an external storage or an external picture server connected thereto, via the internet. And, operation for the information stored in the respective storages is performed by the user in the same procedure using operation units such as a keyboard, a touch pad, with indication on the LCD confirmed. When the information stored in the picture server is displayed, the LCD displays auxiliary information indicative of this notice. An operation receiving apparatus includes: a display; a user interface that overlaps with the display and receives a manual operation by a user; and a controller that acquires a recognition result of a user voice, and controls the display to display a first display region and a second display. The first display region displays an operation item that can receive an instruction by the manual operation, and the second display region displays an operation item that can be instructed by the user voice based on the recognition result.

An information processing apparatus is configured to control an operation to determine a type of a printing medium to be printed by a printing unit, determine a type of printing medium indicated by information input by an input unit as the type of the printing medium to be printed, and be capable of executing a measurement mode and a designation mode. In the measurement mode, the type of the printing medium to be printed is determined by using a measurement result and a reference characteristic values set in advance. In the designation mode, the type of the printing medium to be printed is determined without using the measurement result. An information processing apparatus includes a display unit that displays a screen and a display control unit that, if an operator selects one of a predetermined number of setting items displayed in a first display part of the screen, displays the predetermined number of setting items other than the setting item selected by the operator in the first display part and setting information corresponding to the setting item selected by the operator in a second display part of the screen.

On a touch-panel display of an image forming apparatus, a function selecting area and a preview area are displayed next to each other. On the function selecting area, a function setting menu is displayed in one display mode among an icon mode in which only a group of icons are displayed, a regular mode in which a group of icons and a group of texts are displayed, and an express mode in which a group of icons, a group of texts and a group of function setting buttons are displayed. An image display system is configured such that an image display device and an image processing device are connected to each other through a network. The image display device is provided with: an instruction information generation unit for generating instruction information pertaining to image-processing to be performed on an image input signal; an image signal transmission unit for transmitting the instruction information to the image processing device; a corrected signal reception unit for receiving a corrected image input signal obtained through image-processing performed by the image processing device on the basis of the instruction information; and a display signal output unit for outputting an image output signal based on the corrected image input signal, to an object where an image is to be displayed. The image processing device receives the image input signal connected through the network and performs image-processing on the image input signal according to the instruction information.
