If character collapse has not occurred in the simple binarized image, an image processing determiner selects simple binarization processing as the image processing method of output image data. If character collapse has occurred in the simple binarized image, the process proceeds to photograph area size determination. If the ratio of a photograph area size is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the information loss determiner determines that character collapse has occurred in a posterization processed image. If character collapse has occurred in the posterization processed image, the image processing determiner selects grayscale processing. If character collapse has not occurred in the posterization processed image, the image processing determiner selects posterization processing.

An image forming apparatus includes a controller that displays a first screen on a touch screen. The screen has selectable regions including a first display area and a second display area. The first display area is in a selected state when the first screen is initially displayed. The controller outputs audio data indicating the first display area is in the selected state. The controller receives a first user operation on the touch screen displaying the first screen to change the second display area to the selected display state and then outputs audio data indicating the second display area is in the selected state. The image forming apparatus comprises causes a printer engine to print a chart on the designated paper in accordance with a color adjustment job for executing the color adjustment process, and measures a colorimetric value of the printed chart using the selected colorimetric sensor.

The service providing system stores in one or more memories, application settings information indicating settings of one or more setting items for each application, sets a setting item to be displayed on a setting screen for setting application to non-display, and in response to determination that the setting item set to non-display is included in the one or more setting items of the application settings information, switch a display setting of the setting item from non-display to display, to cause the setting item to be displayed on the setting screen.

An information processing apparatus configured to connect to an external apparatus includes a display control unit configured to control icons to be arranged and displayed in list form on a remote user interface provided to the external apparatus accessing the information processing apparatus, wherein the icons are displayed on a plurality of pages on a local user interface of the information processing apparatus, and a control unit configured to control movement of the icons displayed on the local user interface, in response to an operation on the remote user interface. The display control unit displays a first instruction button in association with an icon included in the icons displayed in list form, and the first instruction button is configured to instruct the control unit to move the icon from a page to another page in the plurality of pages.
