Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to perform dynamic media insertion based on streaming meter data. An example apparatus includes meter data management circuitry to obtain, via a network, streaming meter data from a plurality of streaming meter devices, the streaming meter data including streaming sessions detected by the plurality of streaming meter devices, meter data processor circuitry to identify active streaming sessions based on the streaming meter data, trend analyzer circuitry to generate a viewing trend indicator based on the active streaming sessions, and trend reporter circuitry to transmit the viewing trend indicator via a network.
Systems and methods for improving content recommendations using a trained model
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a recommendations engine that generates content recommendations using a trained model that is personalized based on the information corresponding to content consumption. The disclosed techniques herein provide a trained model to provide content recommendations. The trained model may have been trained using a predefined set of training data agnostic of a particular user profile. A system receives information corresponding to content consumption. The system may associate the information corresponding to content consumption with a profile. The system generates a personalized model based on the information corresponding to content consumption and on the trained model. The personalized model may be associated with the user profile. The system generates the content recommendations using the personalized model. The system then causes to be provided the content recommendations.
Intelligent content queuing from a secondary device
Example embodiments provide systems and methods for managing intelligent content queuing from a secondary device for content delivery to a primary device. A content queuing system on the secondary device generates and displays a playlist interface on the secondary device. A selection of a content item to be added to a playlist is received. The content queuing system determines that addition of the content item causes a live content item to overlap with an on-demand content item on the playlist. As a result, the content queuing system creates at least two segments for the on-demand content item. The live content item is positioned between the first and a second segment on the playlist. The first segment is scheduled to end at a start time of the live content item and the second segment is scheduled to begin at an ending time of the live content item.

SUBTITLE RENDERING BASED ON THE READING PACE
Systems and methods for summarizing captions, configuring playback speed, and rewriting the caption file for a media asset are disclosed. The system determines whether to display the original captions or a summarized version of the captions, which are based on user's language proficiency level, reading pace, and historical data, and can be generated either on-demand or automatically when rewinds and pauses are detected. The caption file which includes the original captions can be rewritten. The system determines whether to stream a caption or a rewritten file to a media device based on user or system selections. In the absence of a caption file, or when the caption file cannot be summarized, the playback speed of the media asset is slowed down to provide additional reading time to the user.
Auto-adjust playback speed and contextual information
Implementations disclose methods and systems for providing a media item at an adjusted playback. A method includes receiving, from a first user device, a playback request from a first user for a first media item including one or more portions of media content; determining an adjusted playback for at least one portion of the first media item that is different than a default playback for the at least one portion of the first media item. The determining is based on previous playback behavior of one or more users in relation to one or more media items that each included one or more portions of media content corresponding to the one or more portions media content of the first media item; and causing the at least one portion of the first media item to be rendered on the first user device at the adjusted playback.
Systems and methods for increasing first user subscription
Systems and methods are provided for generating a customized media asset to incentivize a first user to subscribe to a subscription service. A first user provides their subscription access information to a media provider. In response to receiving the subscription access information, the media provider determines whether the subscription access information is from an account subscribed for a trial period. If the account is subscribed for the trial period, the media provider presents a plurality of media assets for selection to the first user, receives a selection of a media asset available from the subscription service, generates a customized media asset based on a media asset consumption profile of the first user, wherein the customized media asset includes a segment from an additional media asset different from the selected media asset, and presents to the first user the customized media asset instead of the selected media asset.
COORDINATED PRIMARY MEDIA STREAM WITH AGGREGATE SUPPLEMENTAL MEDIA STREAM
Providing a coordinated primary media stream with an aggregate supplemental media stream is disclosed. A request is received from an end user device associated with a user for supplemental media. Metadata and a broadcast time associated with a primary media stream transmitted to the end user device are determined. Based on the metadata and the broadcast time, first supplemental media from a first account of the user on a first platform and second supplemental media from a second account of the user on a second platform are determined. The first supplemental media and the second supplemental media are merged into an aggregate supplemental media stream. The aggregate supplemental media stream is streamed in synchronization with the primary media stream.

Disclosed are video access methods and apparatuses, a client, a terminal, a server and a memory medium, wherein the method comprises: receiving entrance presentation data of a video-updated user, wherein the video-updated user includes a user who has a video updated among followed users; displaying an entrance presentation bar on the current terminal interface, and presenting at least one video access entrance in the entrance presentation bar based on the entrance presentation data; and displaying, responsive to a client user's preset operation on any video access entrance in the entrance presentation bar, a video play page corresponding to the preset operation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO IDENTIFY AND RECOMMEND MEDIA CONSUMPTION OPTIONS BASED ON VIEWER SUGGESTIONS
Systems and methods for determining, based on recommendations provided by users that have consumed a media asset, which consumption options may be configured on a media device such that when configured enhance the user viewing experience for a specific media asset. The method includes accessing comments posted by other users that have consumed the media asset. The comments are analyzed to determine a consumption option recommendation. If the number of comments meet a threshold value, then the system either automatically configures the media device or configures the media device upon user approval with the recommended consumption option. The recommendation to configure a consumption option on the media device is made only if the recommendation is supported by the media device. The system also detects through audio and image analysis which users are consuming the media asset and accordingly configures the consumption options to their preferences.
