The humeral implant also includes a liner including a body defining a load bearing surface and a tray interface surface, said tray interface surface being configured to be at least partially received in said liner recess of said tray such that said implant is coupled to said tray.

GLENOID IMPLANT SURGERY USING PATIENT SPECIFIC INSTRUMENTATION

A pin placement instrument for placing a pin in a bone comprises an anatomical interface with a hook-like portion being opened in a lateral direction of the instrument to receive a bone therein in a planned position. A drill guide is connected to the anatomical interface and defining at least one guide slot in a longitudinal direction of the instrument. The guide slot has a lateral opening over its full length in the drill guide to allow lateral withdrawal of the instrument in said lateral direction with the pin placed in the bone passing through the lateral opening. A bushing is removably placed in said guide slot via said longitudinal direction in a planned fit, the bushing defining a throughbore aligned with the guide slot and adapted to receive the pin extending in said longitudinal direction when the bushing is in the guide slot for pin placement.

GLENOID POSITIONING DEVICE

A glenoid positioning device (100), in particular for a Kirschner wire, comprising: a hub (101) with a reference through-hole (110) and comprising three housings (102a, 102b, 102c) arranged radially; three slide elements (103a, 103b, 103c) slidably housed within the three housings (102a, 102b, 102c), respectively, and configured to interact with a glenoid cavity; wherein the three slide elements (103a, 103b, 103c) are configured to be radially extended or retracted to identify a circular area (2) of a glenoid cavity.

MOBILE BEARING ANATOMIC GLENOID

Provided is a glenoid implant system that includes a tray component that includes a bone-facing surface and a bearing-facing surface on opposite side of the bone-facing surface; and a bearing component that includes an articulating surface that is generally concave and a back side on opposite side of the articulating surface that is generally convex, wherein the articulating surface is configured for engaging a convex humeral head and the back side is configured for engaging the bearing-facing surface of the tray component thus enabling the bearing component to slide about on the tray component while the convex humeral head articulates against the articulating surface.

Measurement device for measuring a load magnitude and a position of applied load to a curved surface

A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load on a curved surface, joint stability, range of motion, and impingement. In one embodiment, the system is for a ball and socket joint of a musculoskeletal system. The system further includes a computer having a display configured to graphical display quantitative measurement data to support rapid assimilation of the information. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation.
