METARSOPHALANGEAL JOINT REPLACEMENT DEVICE AND METHODS
A device for the repair of a phalangeal joint comprises a first anchor, a second anchor, and a flexible spacer connecting the first and second anchors. The flexible spacer comprises a plurality of elongate fibers extending axially or criss-crossed between the first and second anchors and a polymeric matrix interspersed with the plurality of elongate fibers. Specifically, a prosthetic metatarsophalangeal joint device comprises a porous metallic metatarsal bone anchor, a porous metallic phalangeal bone anchor, and a polymeric spacer element comprising parallel or criss-crossed elongate fibers that can connect the metatarsal bone anchor and the phalangeal bone anchor. Methods for manufacturing prosthetic joint devices comprise using three-dimensional printing processes or molding processes. Methods for implanting prosthetic joint devices comprise positioning porous metallic anchor components adjacent resected bones at planar interfaces and between which a polymeric spacer having axial aligned elongate fibers embedded in a matrix can be disposed.
IMPLANTS HAVING BONE GROWTH PROMOTING AGENTS AND METHODS OF USING SUCH IMPLANTS TO REPAIR BONE STRUCTURES
Various embodiments of implant systems and related apparatus, and methods of operating the same are described herein. In various embodiments, an implant for interfacing with a bone structure includes a web structure, including a space truss, configured to interface with human bone tissue. The space truss includes two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes, implants may be coated with or include fibers or particles to enhance bone growth around and through the implant.
Small joint fixation
Disclosed is a medical device having a first implant portion having a proximal end, a second implant portion connected to the first implant portion, the second implant portion having a distal end, and a driver assembly removably connected to the distal end, the driver assembly comprising a drill connected to the distal end at a connection.
IMPLANT FOR USE IN A WEAR COUPLE INCLUDING A SPHERICAL WEAR PARTNER
The invention describes an implant for wear couples in endoprosthetics, the implant having an outer side, with an outer face, and an inner side, and a hemispherical wear region for accommodating a spherical wear partner being formed on the inner side. The aim of the invention is to reduce the height of the implant as much as possible and to ensure that, e.g., the pelvic bone does not have to be milled down as much. According to the invention, the implant is therefore designed in the form of a ring or annular structure and the outer face permits direct implantation in the body. In order to reduce friction between the spherical wear partner and the implant to a minimum, the implant has a specially designed inner geometry.
INSTRUMENTS FOR PREPARING BONE IMPLANTS
A system includes a cutting guide and a cutting template. The cutting guide has a body including a plurality of sides that together define a cavity that is accessible via an opening defined by a first side of the plurality of sides. A second side of the plurality of sides defines at least two elongate slots. The second side is disposed adjacent to the first side and at a distance from an opposed third side. Each of the at least two slots is in communication with the cavity and disposed at a different location along the second side. The cutting template has a body defining at least one elongate slot. The cutting template is configured to be engaged with the cutting guide such that the at least one elongate slot of the cutting template aligns with at least one of the at least two elongate slots of the cutting guide.
Single-use plantar plate graft augmentation kit and method of repairing plantar plate tears through graft augmentation
A plantar plate augmentation kit assembly and method of repairing plantar plate tears through augmentation provides an assembly of tools used to augment a plantar plate with a soft tissue graft, and specifically an Artelon Graft. The kit assembly includes a plantar plate drill guide for aligning a drill bit and K-wires over a damaged area of a plantar plate. The assembly also includes a plantar plate joint distractor for separating tissue, at least two K-wires that serve as anchors to the tissue, a drill bit for driving the graft into the tissue. The assembly also includes a graft passer for retaining and manipulating the graft. Further included are at least two interference-type screws and a screw driver for manipulating the interference-type screws. These components are stored in a storage container that includes an outer housing and multiple inner recesses shaped and sized to frictionally fit the tools.

SACROILIAC JOINT FUSION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A sacroiliac joint implant is formed from a web structure having a space truss with two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes. The web structure is configured for fusion of a sacroiliac joint.
Joint surface replacement system
The present invention relates to an articular joint replacement system. The system has first and second components. Each component has a tapered head piece for covering the end of a bone and for acting as an articular surface, an integrally formed screw stem having a length sufficient to extend into the medullary canal, and inwardly angled bone grips affixed to the underside of the head piece to allow solid fixation to the bone by compression press fit. The head piece of the first component is provided with a shaped exterior surface which complements the shaped exterior surface of the head piece of the second component and which allows motion in three planes.
