Carpometacarpal (CMC) implants and methods
A surgical kit including a hydrogel implant suitable for use in a carpometacarpal joint includes an upper surface, a lower surface, and sidewalls extending between the upper surface and the lower surface, a plunger, and an introducer for depoloying the implant is provided.
Osteosynthesis Device
In one embodiment, the present invention includes an intramedullary osteosynthesis or arthrodesis implant including a central body, a first pair of legs extending from the central body to a pair of leg tips, and a second pair of legs extending from the central body, in a direction opposite the first pair of legs, to a pair of leg tips such that the central body, first pair of legs and second pair of legs are positioned alongside a longitudinal axis.
TOE JOINT PROSTHESIS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A toe joint prosthesis and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The toe joint prosthesis includes a first bone nail prosthesis and a second bone nail prosthesis hinged with the first bone nail prosthesis, the first bone nail prosthesis includes a first bone nail configured to be provided in a bone marrow cavity and a second bone nail connected with the first bone nail and located outside the bone marrow cavity, and the second bone nail is hinged with the second bone nail prosthesis. In particular, a three-dimensional porous structure layer is formed on an outer surface of the first bone nail and/or the second bone nail and/or the second bone nail prosthesis. An outer surface of the toe joint prosthesis are endowed with better bone ingrowth ability and bone crawling ability, thereby making the fixation of the toe joint prosthesis more stable.
IMPLANT FOR REMOVABLE PROSTHETIC NAIL
An assembly for mounting a prosthetic nail for a human or animal digit. The assembly includes at least one transdermal anchor with an interior portion and an exterior portion. The interior portion may be positioned within tissue of the digit, and the exterior portion may extend outside the tissue of the digit. In another aspect, an exterior base may be positioned on a nail bed of the digit, and the exterior base may be coupled to the exterior portion of the transdermal anchor. The base may include a mount for removably a prosthetic nail to the base.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPLEX SUBSTITUTE OBJECT FROM A REAL OBJECT
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a complex substitute object intended to supplement or replace a real object in a given state, potentially a damaged state, in particular a trapeziometacarpal prosthesis intended to replace the trapezoid bone of a human being suffering from rhizarthrosis. The present invention also relates to a trapeziometacarpal prosthesis that can be obtained by the manufacturing method according to the invention.
BIONIC ARTIFICIAL INTERPHALANGEAL JOINT
The present invention discloses a bionic artificial interphalangeal joint. The bionic artificial interphalangeal joint includes three sets of proximal prostheses and distal prostheses matched with the proximal prostheses and respectively corresponding to the three joints from the metacarpal bone to the distal phalanx. According to the specific position of the joint to be replaced, the corresponding artificial interphalangeal joint can be selected for replacement. Among them, the bionic artificial interphalangeal joint that can be installed between the metacarpal bone and the proximal phalanx has multiple degrees of freedom, which allows the proximal phalanx to bent in any direction like a real finger, and the bending angle of the proximal phalanx can be up to about 90 degrees when the proximal phalanx is bent toward the inner side of the finger.
IONIC POLYMER COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure pertains to ionic polymer compositions, including semi- and fully interpenetrating polymer networks, methods of making such ionic polymer compositions, articles made from such ionic polymer compositions, and methods of making such articles and packaging for such articles.
Hard substance multi-hooded enarthrodial joint implant
Multi-hooded enarthrodial joint implant has a hard substance articulating cup including a hard substance head-receiving cup having an articular surface upon which a head of a joint can articulate, and which, in general, has a margin generally about a hemisphere more or less and at least two hoods that are marginally extended continuations of superior one-half or so of cup containment of a sufficient magnitude to reduce an overall dimension of socket outlet to less than a hemisphere, which can embrace and contain the head. The head is made of a hard substance and has a truncated generally circular cross section, a truncated surface with a feature for attachment of the stem, and an opposing articular surface for articulation against the articular surface of the ceramic head-receiving cup. As an ensemble, the cup is combined with the head, typically with a stem, for a total joint implant. The hard substance may be, for example, a composite substance, a metal or a metal alloy. Either the cup or the head, but not both, may be ceramic when employed in an ensemble.
