DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR STABILIZATION OF INTERVERTEBRAL CAGES
Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for securing a strut graft to a plate for enhancing the security and stability of a spinal fusion after corpectomy. The disclosed strut grafts include at least one anchoring device positioned within the interior of the strut graft that are configured to securedly engage a screw that passes through the plate before engaging the anchoring device. The disclosed methods, systems, and devices may aid in preventing the strut graft from migrating in the intervertebral space after surgery.
Spinopelvic fixation technology
Systems and methods for treating musculo skeletal disorders of the spinopelvic anatomy including treating spinal deformities by spinopelvic fixation including fusion of the sacroiliac joint at the base of long spinal fusion construct cases. The system may include implants designed to be used as an adjunct to long spinal fusions to further the immobilization and stabilization of the sacroiliac joint. The implants may be designed to augment an S2AI screw and an S1 screw in order to improve durability of the foundation of the spinal construct. The implants may have a triangular cross section.
Intervertebral implant with keel
An intervertebral implant component of an intervertebral implant includes an outer surface for engaging an adjacent vertebra and an inner surface. A keel extends from the outer surface and is designed to be disposed in a slot provided in the adjacent vertebra. This keel extends in a plane which is non-perpendicular to the outer surface; and preferably there are two of the keels extending from the outer surface which are preferably offset laterally from one another. In another embodiment, an anterior shelf is provided at an anterior end of the outer surface, and this anterior shelf extends vertically away from the inner surface in order to help prevent bone growth from the adjacent vertebra towards the inner surface. Further in accordance with disclosed embodiments, various materials, shapes and forms of construction of the component and/or keel provide various benefits.
Joint Arthrodesis System
A joint arthrodesis system adapted for use in joint surgeries. Among other things, the joint implant has an anterior cutting edge and a rotatable cutter supported by a rotatable shaft.
Cervical plate and inserter
Various embodiments of cervical plates for treating the spine are provided. The cervical plates include an access surface and a bone facing surface. The cervical plate further includes at least one hole between the access surface and the bone facing surface. The hole includes a trajectory surface that guides an anchor into a corner or edge of a vertebral body, wherein a portion of the hole extends into the disc space region. In some embodiments, the cervical plate includes a ledge to support high angle screw insertion. In some embodiments, an interbody implant is provided. The cervical plate and the interbody spacer can have a corresponding curvature.
METHOD OF FUSING A SACROILIAC JOINT WITH AN IMPLANT VIA POSTERIOR ACCESS
A method of fusing a sacroiliac joint including a sacrum, an ilium, and a sacroiliac joint space defined therebetween. The method may include: approaching a posterior aspect of the sacroiliac joint space with a joint implant including a body extending a length between a distal end and a proximal end; and delivering the joint implant into the sacroiliac joint space such that the joint implant passes through an access region defined between the posterior superior iliac spine and the posterior inferior iliac spine. The joint implant may be oriented in the sacroiliac joint space such that a portion of the body of the joint implant is positioned within a joint plane of the sacroiliac joint space, and such that the distal end of the joint implant is positioned posteriorly of an anterior boundary of the sacroiliac joint space.
Intervertebral Disc Implants And Tooling
A kit for preparing an intervertebral disc space for receiving an implant (100) includes a plurality of trials (152) having different sizes. Each trial (152) includes a body (154) insertible into an intervertebral disc space, the body (154) having a leading end (162), a trailing end (164), a top surface (156) and a bottom surface (160), the top surface of the body having a first groove (176) formed therein. Each implant also includes a flange (166) secured to the trailing end (164) of the body (154), the flange (166) having a first channel (180) aligned with the first groove (176), wherein each of the different sized trials has a different flange thickness. The flange thickness controls advancement of a cutting tool such as a chisel (192) into the first groove at the top surface of the trial body, which controls the depth of the cut into vertebral bone.
System of spinal arthodesis implants
The present invention relates to a spinal arthrodesis system including at least two types of implants from among the three following types: an intersomatic implant (IS), including at least one passage (40) mating at least one anchoring device (1); an interspinous implant (IE), including at least two wings able to run along a portion of the vertebral spines (EI, ES); a facet implant (IF) including a bone attachment.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACET JOINT REPLACEMENT
A system for replacing at least a portion of a natural facet joint includes a fixation member implantable in a vertebra, an inferior facet articular surface and an inferior strut which may be formed separately from the inferior articular surface. The inferior strut has a first end securable to the fixation member and a second end which may comprise a sphere with a hemispherical surface. An attachment mechanism may include a capture feature shaped to receive the second end of the inferior strut, and the mechanism may provide an adjustable configuration, allowing polyaxial adjustment between the inferior articular surface and the second end. A locking member may be actuated to exert force on the second end to provide a locked configuration. The system may further include a superior facet joint implant with a superior articular surface shaped to articulate with the inferior articular surface.
Joint Implant
A joint implant system adapted for use in joint surgeries. Among other things, the joint implant has an anterior cutting edge and a rotatable cutter supported by a rotatable shaft.
