INTERBODY SPACER WITH INTEGRATED ATRAUMATIC INSERTION TOOL SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230116871 · 2023-04-13 ·

Systems and methods can involve (I) an interbody spacer including: (A) at least one side, and (B) at least one cavity for containing a bone graft material; and (II) an insertion tool, in which the at least one cavity is inaccessible from the at least one side when the insertion tool is engaged with the interbody spacer, and in which the at least one cavity is accessible from the at least one side when the insertion tool is disengaged from the interbody spacer. In addition, other aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

Partially resorbable implants and methods

Implants including non-resorbable frameworks and resorbable components, as well as methods of use thereof are disclosed. The embodiments include different combinations of a non-resorbable framework (in some case structural and in other cases non-structural), and a resorbable component embedded within and/or around the framework (again, in some cases structural and in other cases non-structural). The disclosed implants provide an efficient means of providing structural support for the vertebral bodies post-implantation, as well as encouraging resorption of the implant and fusion of the associated vertebral bodies without negative side effects and/or failure, such as subsidence of the implant or cracking/fracturing of a portion of the implant when implanted.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING A CUSTOM CEMENT-ON-CEMENT ARTICULATING HIP SPACER
20220331116 · 2022-10-20 ·

Aspects of the present disclosure include a device for forming a custom cement cast of an acetabular implant for a patient. The device includes an elongated handle, and a head coupled to a proximal end of the elongated handle. The head includes a body, a circumferential lip, and a nipple. The body of the head is shaped as a spherical cap, and includes a circular base and an apex. The circumferential lip extends radially outwardly from the circular base of the body. The nipple extends from the apex of the body in a direction perpendicular to the circular base.

Expandable implant assembly

An implant includes a first support, a second support rotatably coupled to the first support along a distal end of the implant, and a control assembly configured to move the implant between at least a first, collapsed orientation and a second, expanded orientation, the control assembly includes a control driver coupled to the first support and comprising a head and a shaft, the control driver configured to control relative movement between the first support and the second support, a control member configured to move along the shaft of the control driver, and a first linkage hingedly coupled to the control member and the second support, wherein movement of the control member causes the first support to move relative to the second support.

Bone insert augment and offset method

A bone insert is provided that includes a cap having a convex top surface made from a plurality of cap micro struts, an elongated stem made from a plurality of stem micro struts, and a barrier between the cap and the stem. The stem of the bone insert is inserted into a hole formed in a host bone until the barrier is pressed against the exposed bone. The bone implant can be placed against a small focus contact point on the cap. Liquid cement can be injected into a large center hole in the cap and the cement can flow through the fenestrations between all of the cap micro struts as well as the space between the bone implant and the bone. The cement can cure to create a high strength structure that provides a strong bond between the bone implant and the host bone.

SACROILIAC JOINT STABILIZATION PROSTHESES
20230181324 · 2023-06-15 ·

Prostheses are described for stabilizing dysfunctional sacroiliac (SI) joints. The prostheses are sized and configured to be press-fit into surgically created pilot SI joint openings in dysfunctional SI joint structures. The prostheses have an integral structure with opposed elongated sections connected by a bridge section. The elongated sections, in some instances, have an unequal length.

Humeral joint replacement component
11672668 · 2023-06-13 · ·

A humeral prosthetic head has a non-spherical articulation surface coupled with an intermediate component connecting the head and the humerus, the intermediate component connected to the epiphysis, metaphysis, or diaphysis, or to one or more additional components connected to the humerus. The intermediate portion provides for axial and angular offset of the head with respect to a connection to the humerus, using a curvilinear tapered engagement.

Articulating and expandable interbody fusions devices

Expandable fusion devices, systems, and methods thereof. The expandable implant may include first and second lateral legs and link plates pivotably joined between them. The lateral legs may include upper and lower endplates configured to engage adjacent vertebrae, an actuator assembly including a rotatable actuator having a shaft and a rotatable nut, and driving ramps positioned along the shaft of the actuator. The actuator assembly may cause independent movement of one or more of the driving ramps, thereby causing an expansion in height of the upper and lower endplates of the lateral legs and passive expansion of the connected link plates.
