The first jointed arm and the second jointed arm may be interconnected at a proximal end of the expandable interbody spacer. The first jointed arm and the second jointed arm may be interconnected at a distal end of the expandable interbody spacer.
Shoulder arthroplasty system method with combination humeral sizer, trial, and guide
A shoulder arthroplasty kit includes a combination sizer and guide device with a base portion including a rim configured to be positioned against a resected surface of a humerus. A cavity which is configured to receive a mounting portion of a humeral base component extends proximally from the base portion, the cavity. The combination sizer and guide device includes a convex outer surface which replicates at least a part of an outer bearing surface of a humeral head component. A bore which is perpendicular to the distal plane extends between the cavity and the convex outer surface. The kit further includes a guide pin with a maximum diameter sized to fit within the bore such that the guide pin is guided by the bore during insertion of the guide pin into the resected surface of the humerus.
Systems for Sacroiliac Joint Stabilization
Systems are described for conducting minimally invasive medical interventions utilizing instruments and assemblies thereof to stabilize and/or fixate a dysfunctional sacroiliac (SI) joint. The systems include a drill guide having a bone dislodging member adapted to create a pilot SI joint opening in the dysfunctional SI joint through an incision comprising a length no greater than 3.0 cm; portions of the pilot SI joint opening being disposed in the sacrum and ilium bone structures. The drill guide includes a tri-mode fixation system adapted to position and stabilize the drill guide during creation of the pilot SI joint opening in the dysfunctional SI joint and delivery of the SI joint prosthesis therein. The systems also include a SI joint prosthesis configured to be inserted into the pilot SI joint opening of the dysfunctional SI joint, a prosthesis deployment assembly configured to engage the SI joint prosthesis and advance the SI joint prosthesis into the dysfunctional SI joint, and a bone harvesting assembly adapted to extract and collect dislodge bone material from the bone dislodging member after creation of the pilot SI joint opening.
Hip joint method
A surgical or arthroscopic method for resurfacing at least one surface of a hip joint of a human patient, using a medical device comprising an artificial hip joint surface, wherein the hip joint surface comprising an acetabulum surface and a caput femur surface, said method comprising the steps of: creating at least one hole passing into the hip joint, dissecting and preparing the hip joint, introducing at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising at least one of an artificial acetabulum surface and an artificial caput femur surface, wherein said at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising a first sealing member, creating a sealed hollow space between said first sealing member and one of the acetabulum surface or said artificial acetabulum surface and one of the caput femur surface or said artificial caput femur surface, selecting at least one artificial hip joint surface and injecting a material into said hollow space.
IMPLANT SIZING INSTRUMENT
A multi-function device useful in a surgical procedure for implanting a cartilage repairing implant in a bone is disclosed. The device includes a plurality of bone defect sizing rings or discs, where each bone defect sizing ring/disc includes a portion that is used to determine the size that correlates to the perimeter shape and size of the cartilage repairing implant. The inventive device also includes a feature that can be used to gauge the proudness of the cartilage repairing implant after the implant has been implanted into a bone.
TOE IMPLANT, RELATED KIT, SURGICAL METHOD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
Disclosed herein is a toe implant for replacing a portion of a human toe joint, as well as a related kit, surgical method, and method of manufacturing. Specifically, the toe implant may include a bearing member having a curved interface surface and a fixation member coupled to the bearing member. The fixation member may include a first portion having a non-porous barrier, and a tapered second portion.
OFFSET ADAPTERS, TRIAL IMPLANT SYSTEMS, AND IMPLANT SYSTEMS ALLOWING FOR SELECTABLE ECCENTRICITY
The present disclosure is directed offset adapters, trial implant systems, shoulder implant systems, and methods for total shoulder replacement, wherein the eccentricity of a humeral head relative to a humeral anchor and resected proximal portion of a humerus is selectable by a surgeon. A humeral head implant system includes a humeral head, an adapter, and humeral anchor. An offset adapter is operable to connect the humeral head to a humeral anchor. The offset adapter includes a first tapered cylindrical portion having a first axis, a second tapered cylindrical portion having a second axis, and the first axis being eccentrically disposed relative to the second axis of the adapter. A trial humeral head system includes a trial humeral head, a pin guide, and a trial adapter.
System and method for repairing articular surfaces
