ANKLE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

Various surgical devices and methods are disclosed herein. Also disclosed is multi-component prosthesis, which can be used as an ankle prosthesis. One of the disclosed surgical alignment systems includes a guide arm, a ratchet arm frame configured to be coupled slidably to the guide arm, a ratchet arm configured to be coupled to the ratchet arm frame, and a sagittal sizing guide body configured to be coupled to the ratchet arm. The sagittal sizing guide body includes a first radiopaque object disposed at a first position and a second radiopaque object disposed at a second position that is spaced apart from the first position.

ARTHROSCOPIC ANTERIOR GLENOID GUIDE

Surgical constructs, assemblies and methods of tissue fixation are disclosed. An anterior glenoid guide is a cuboid block configured to be introduced via the rotator interval to lie on the anterior glenoid. The guide has an internal thread for a handle and two flanges which lie on the anterior glenoid. On the anterior face (opposite the neck of the glenoid), the guide is provided with two holes which are sized to receive a drill guide. The holes mate with slots such that the block can be removed after sutures and fixation devices are installed. The anterior glenoid guide can be an arthroscopic anterior glenoid graft guide.

GAP BALANCING ASSEMBLY FOR KNEE REVISION SURGERY

A gap balancing assembly includes an alignment plateau adapted to abut against an articular surface of a first bone, and at least one gap spacer portion adapted to space the articular surface from a second bone, the at least one gap spacer portion having a thickness profile. A spacer member has a first contact surface for being abutted against said tibial alignment plateau, and a second contact surface oriented and spaced relative to the first contact surface to correspond to the thickness profile of the at least one gap spacer portion, the second contact surface adapted to contact a cut guide to align same with the articular surface of the first bone.

GUIDER FOR SPINAL OPERATION AND CAGE THEREFOR

Proposed are a guider for a spinal operation and a cage therefor. The guider includes a sliding portion configured to guide a cage for a spinal operation and a holder to a surgical site, a head of the sliding portion being inserted into a human body region where a surgical incision is made for the spinal operation, and the cage for a spinal operation being combined with the holder; a support portion combined with one side of the sliding portion and thus supporting the sliding portion; and a handle combined with the support portion.

Alignment apparatus for use in surgery

An apparatus comprising: a medical tool moveable to a desired orientation relative to a bone region for implantation of a medical implant; and an electronic orientation sensor transitionable between a first location fixed relative to the bone region of the patient and a second location on the medical tool; wherein, at the first location, the orientation sensor is adapted to record a reference orientation of the bone region of the patient, and, at the second location, the orientation sensor is adapted to determine an orientation of the medical tool relative to the reference orientation, wherein recording the reference orientation comprises measuring a gravity vector relative to the orientation sensor.

Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty

Implants include fixation features which slidingly receive fixation elements. The fixation features may be negative or positive features, such as undercut channels or posts. Examples include unicompartmental tibial trays having a ridge protruding from the bone-facing side, an undercut channel formed within the ridge. Instruments are disclosed for preparing a ridge-receiving feature in bone.

A tibial component placement guide for use in a knee arthroplasty procedure involving a knee joint comprising a tibia, a patella, and a femur, the tibial component placement guide comprising an overlay configured to be overlaid a resected tibia that typifies at least one of a shape and an outline of the resected tibia, the overlay including at least one of an indicia and an opening indicative of at least one of an orientation and a position of a presurgical kinematic axis of at least one of the femur and the patella.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR INTER-VERTEBRAL ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE PLACEMENT
20220175549 · 2022-06-09 ·

The disclosure relates to devices and methods for implantation of an orthopedic device between skeletal segments using limited surgical dissection. The implanted devices are used to adjust and maintain the spatial relationship(s) of adjacent bones. Depending on the implant design, the motion between the skeletal segments may be increased, limited, modified, or completely immobilized.

Bone graft delivery system and method for using same

The present invention relates to an apparatus, system and method for delivery of bone graft material in a patient's spine. The graft delivery device according to various embodiments delivers and disperses biologic material to a disc space and without withdrawal from the surgical site. In one embodiment, the graft delivery device includes a plunger with a distal end configured to bend relative to a longitudinal axis as bone graft material is delivery to the disc space. The plunger can include two arms that extend generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The graft delivery device may selectively deliver a fusion cage for deposit to the same disc space.
