Twist lock
A locking mechanism that can be used to temporarily lock multiple component parts into a joined configuration includes a twist lock system. For example, the twist lock system includes a first male portion including a post having one or more features in one or more surfaces of the post and a second female portion including a ring arranged to fit over the post and to engage the features of the post.
CLASP SYSTEM FOR BAGGAGE ITEMS
A clasp system includes a first clasp element that is carried by a first article of a baggage item. The first clasp element includes a rim and an elongated aperture is defined within the rim. The clasp system further includes a second clasp element that is carried by a second article of the baggage item. The second clasp element includes a base, a shaft, and a handle. The handle is movable through the aperture. The first clasp element and the second clasp element are reconfigurable from an unclasped configuration to a clasped configuration and vice versa. In the unclasped configuration the first clasp element and the second clasp element are disposed apart from each other. In the clasped configuration the base is disposed on a first side of the rim, the shaft extends through the aperture, and the handle is disposed on a second side of the rim.
ADJUSTABLE STRAP FOR HAT
An adjustable connector strap may include two interlocking bodies, wherein one body includes a plurality of teeth located along opposing edges, and the other body includes a plurality of notches located along opposing edges. The user may select the number of teeth that are mated with the notches to adjust the size of the strap. The use of interlocking teeth and notches along the opposed edges of the strap bodies may enhances the ability of the strap to maintain its interlocking strength during tension loads. The teeth and notch engagement may also allow a user to quickly engage or disengage the strap bodies, thereby enhancing the ease-of-use of the strap.
INTERCHANGEABLE SOCKET ACCESSORY FOR A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An expandable socket includes a body having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis. The body is movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. A platform has a bore sized to receive the second end of the body. The bore is axially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the body. A locking member is disposed between the body and the platform and rotatably and releasably couples the body to the platform. The locking member is movable between an unlocked configuration, in which the body is removable from the platform, and a locked configuration, in which the body is secured to the platform.
EXPANDABLE DEVICE FOR A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An expandable device includes a body with a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis. The body is movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. A button is coupled to the first end of the body and includes an inner surface and an engaging member carried by the inner surface. A platform includes an outer surface and a collar extending away from the outer surface and the collar defines a cavity. A locking device is carried by the second end of the body, and a portion of the locking device is adapted to be removably disposed in the cavity of the platform for releasably coupling the body to the platform. When the body is in the collapsed configuration, the engaging member of the button engages the locking device such that the locking device is rotatable relative to the platform between an unlocked and a locked configuration.
UNIFORM CLAMP
A clamp assembly removably couples to a sheet of material. An item, such as a body camera, mounted on the clamp assembly may be coupled to the sheet of material via the clamp assembly. A sheet of material is provided adjacent a base of the clamp assembly. An insert is provided adjacent the sheet of material on a side opposite the base. A clamp element is connected to the base and moves between an open position and closed position. Movement of the clamp element to the closed position resists removal of the base from the sheet of material. Embodiments of the present disclosure also involve clamp assembly bases, as well as systems for securing an item, such as a body camera, to the sheet of material.
QUICK COUPLING FOR BODY CAMERA
A coupling releasably secures an item such as a body camera to a mount point. The coupling includes a connector and a receiver. The connector includes a crossbar and a post. The receiver includes an opening and a slot. The crossbar moves through the entry opening and the connector is rotated relative to the receiver. The post of the connector is moved through the slot to engage the receiver and hold the connector in a mounted position on the receiver, thereby securing the item to the mount point. Embodiments of the present disclosure also involve methods for securing the item to the mount point using a connector and receiver, as well as systems for mounting an item using a connector, receiver, and mount point.
Swivel-lock quick release
A swivel-lock quick release is described. Embodiments of the swivel-lock quick release can include, but is not limited to, a male member adapted to mate with a female member wherein the male member can be disengaged by lifting and then rotating the male member while continuously lifting the male member. The male member can include a slot adapted to interface with a protrusion from the female member. The male member and the female member can each include an attachment mechanism to couple to various objects and/or tools.
