Method for transmitting dedicated reference signal, and method for receiving dedicated reference signal
Provided are a method of transmitting a dedicated reference signal (DRS), a method of receiving a DRS, and a feedback method of a terminal. The method of transmitting a DRS includes determining a DRS transmitting resource for at least one terminal which is a target of transmission, and transmitting the DRS using the determined transmission resource and notifying the terminal of information about layer used by the terminal. The method of receiving a DRS includes determining a DRS receiving resource, receiving information about layer used by a terminal from a serving cell base station, and receiving the DRS for the terminal using the determined reception resource and the information about layer. Accordingly, a terminal can find the position and sequence of its DRS. In particular, in the case of multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) or joint scheduling, it is possible to prevent or remove signal interference using the DRS of another terminal.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for feedback compression. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a user-equipment (UE). The method generally includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration to be used for compressing one or more measurements corresponding to at least one reference signal using an artificial intelligence (AI) encoder; receiving the at least one reference signal; and transmitting a codeword to the base station, the codeword being associated with a compression of the one or more measurements in accordance with the configuration.
Method and apparatus for sending uplink control information for multi-radio access technology operation
A method and apparatus for sending uplink control information by a multi-mode wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) capable of operating on multiple component carriers of a plurality of radio access technologies (RATs) for multi-RAT operation are disclosed. The WTRU may generate uplink control information (UCI) pertaining to a first RAT and a second RAT, wherein the UCI may include a first plurality of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgements (HARQ-ACKs) pertaining to a plurality of downlink (DL) transmissions of the first RAT and a second plurality of HARQ-ACKs pertaining to a plurality of DL transmissions of the second RAT. The WTRU may multiplex at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the first RAT and at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the second RAT onto a physical channel on a component carrier of the second RAT.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION
A method for transmitting channel status information of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE reports first channel information to a base station periodically; and reports second channel information to the base station periodically. The first channel information and the second channel information are pieces of information combined to indicate one precoding matrix. The second channel information reported in a specific subframe is calculated based on last reported first channel information. A channel quality indicator (CQI) reported in the specific subframe is calculated based on one precoding matrix indicated by the last reported first channel information and the second channel information reported in the specific subframe.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCHEDULING IN A MULTI-INPUT MULTI-OUTPUT SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method and an apparatus for grouping a plurality of beams into a plurality of beam groups in a wireless communication system supporting Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) are provided. The method includes determining at least one preferred beam set, based on a channel between a plurality of transmission beams of a Base Station (BS) and a plurality of reception beams of a Mobile Station (MS), transmitting information on the at least one preferred beam set, to the BS, generating information indicating interference that at least one transmission beam of the BS exerts to the MS, based on a preferred reception beam comprised in the at least one preferred beam set, and transmitting the generated interference information to the BS.
Power adjustment to align transmit chain power ratios
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. A wireless communication device may have an apparatus that aligns the non-linearity between transmit chains of the wireless communication device that are driven by the same digital port. The apparatus may adjust an amplification power out or an amplification saturated power to adjust a ratio between the amplification saturated power and the amplification power out for one or more transmit chains of the wireless communication device. The apparatus may adjust the ratios of transmit chains to align the ratios of the transmit chains for more consistent management of non-linear characteristics of the chain components. Numerous other aspects are described.
Multicast feedback based on acknowledgment transmissions
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A set of uplink control channel resources that are configured for acknowledgment transmissions may be shared among user equipments (UEs) that are enabled to receive multicast communications. Each of the shared set of uplink control channel resources may be associated with set(s) of channel state information. UEs may measure a multicast channel to determine channel state information for the multicast channel. After failing to receive a multicast transmission, UEs may transmit an acknowledgment feedback message over one of the shared uplink control channel resources that is associated with the set of channel state information determined by the UE. A base station that receives the acknowledgment feedback message may transmit a multicast retransmission for the UEs using transmission parameters that are adapted for the set(s) of channel state information associated with the occupied uplink control channel resource.
System and method for transmitting a sub-space selection
Embodiments of this disclosure provide techniques for receiving reference signals by a user equipment (UE) from a base station in a downlink channel, as well as transmitting a linear combination index from the UE to the base station. In particular, the linear combination index identifies a combination of beams selected from a set of beams in accordance with the RS.
HEADER ENCODING AND MODULATION FOR SINGLE CARRIER PHYSICAL LAYER
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to header encoding and modulation. A device may determine an enhanced directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) header field vector comprising one or more bits. The device may determine a first vector associated with a scrambler device, wherein the first vector includes one or more first random bits. The device may scramble the EDMG header field vector based on the first vector. The device may cause to wirelessly transmit to a first device, a codeword associated with the scrambled EDMG header field vector.
Resource sharing between transmission hypotheses
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may indicate, to a base station, a capability of the UE to use a channel measurement resource for both a joint transmission hypothesis and a single transmission hypothesis. The UE may receive, based on indicating the capability of the UE, a configuration message indicating a first channel measurement resource that is associated with a first transmission configuration indicator state and that is configured for a first joint transmission hypothesis. The UE may obtain a channel measurement for both the first joint transmission hypothesis and a first single transmission hypothesis using the first channel measurement resource based on the configuration message.
