Techniques for multiple feedback transmissions per slot in wireless communications
Aspects described herein relate to partitioning slots in wireless communications into virtual mini-slots at least for the purpose of transmitting multiple feedback transmissions within the slot.
CHANNEL ESTIMATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application discloses a channel estimation method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies, to help reduce indication overheads. The method may include: generating and sending indication information. The indication information is used to indicate K N-dimensional spatial-domain component vectors, L M-dimensional frequency-domain component vectors, and a weight matrix, to indicate to construct an M×N-dimensional spatial-frequency matrix, or an M×N or N×M spatial-frequency matrix.
DYNAMIC ADAPTATION OF SEMI-PERSISTENT CSI REPORT SETTING
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a number of channel state information (CSI) reports for a CSI reporting procedure as part of a beam management procedure. The UE may transmit a first number of CSI reports of the CSI reporting procedure to the base station using a first set of transmission parameters associated with a first reliability level. The base station may transmit a control message to the UE indicating a second set of transmission parameters associated with a second reliability level and the UE may transmit a second number of CSI reports of the CSI reporting procedure to the base station using the second set of transmission parameters.
DYNAMIC AND COMPACT MEASUREMENT REPORT RESOLUTION IN WIRELESS SYSTEMS
In one aspect of the disclosure, a UE may be configured to receive, from a base station, information indicating a reference point associated with at least one L1 measurement; determine a reporting value of the at least one L1 measurement based on a difference between the reference point and a measured value of the at least one L1 measurement; and transmit information indicating the reporting value to the base station. In another aspect, a RAN node can indicate to a UE that a reduced measurement report resolution is to be used for beam measurements in a measurement report. The reduced measurement report resolution is less than a first measurement report resolution previously indicated to be used for the beam measurements. Lower resolution can be obtained by using fewer bits to indicate one or more of the beam measurements. The payload for a measurement report such as a L-SINR or L-RSP L1 measurement report is thereby reduced when the UE transmits the measurement report to the RAN node.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING PRIORITY LEVEL OF CSI REPORT
A method and a device for determining a priority level of a channel state information (CSI) report are provided. The method includes following operations. The UE determines priority levels of at least two CSI reports, the at least two CSI reports include a first CSI report, and the first CSI report carries Layer 1 Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (L1-SINR). The priority levels of the at least two CSI reports are used to multiplex the at least two CSI reports or drop at least a part of the at least two CSI reports in response to that there is an overlapping part in time domain resources of the at least two CSI reports.
BASIS SUBSET FEEDBACK FOR CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION ENHANCEMENT
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may report basis subset selection for a set of beams, where the basis vectors are used for frequency domain compression. To reduce reporting overhead, the UE may transmit two reports indicating the basis vectors. The first report may include first information for the basis vectors and is of a known payload size to both the UE and a base station, while the second report may include second information for the basis vectors and may have a payload size dependent on the first information. The base station may decode the first report and may use the decoded first information to decode the second report. Based on the first and second information, the base station may determine the reported set of basis vectors to use for frequency domain compression and may determine non-zero precoding coefficients.
Channel state information (CSI) computation for effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP)-constrained transmissions
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink transmission from a base station over a wireless channel, select, based on the received downlink transmission, a channel state information (CSI) computation mode for the wireless channel, where the CSI computation mode is based on an effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) constraint, measure a set of one or more CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs) from the base station to obtain a CSI measurement, and transmit a CSI report to the base station based on the selected CSI computation mode and the CSI measurement.
Method and apparatus for generating a channel state information report adapted to support a partial omission
Generating a channel state information (CSI) feedback report is provided. A set of reference signals is received (1502). A set of entries that are included in the CSI feedback report is computed (1504). Each entry has a most significant bit, and one or more remaining bits, where an order of each of the entries in the CSI feedback report are arranged based upon a bit level classification of the entries (1508). A value of the most significant bit of each of the entries is identified, and the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a higher bit value have the remaining bits arranged in a group that is positioned in the CSI feedback report prior to a group of tire remaining bits of the entries, which have a most significant bit value corresponding to a lower bit value (1510).

System and method for reporting signal quality information
A wireless user equipment (UE) may employ any of various mechanisms for reporting signal quality measurements to a wireless network. The UE may impose a time delay between measurement and reporting, based on a delay parameter K. The UE may average measurements obtained at different measurement instances. The UE may employ any of various schemes for prioritizing transmission of one type of report over another, when temporal collisions occur between different types of report. The UE may employ a differential report that includes a state for indicating that a beam is not workable. The UE may employ a beam index that includes a state for indicating an invalid beam. A base station may receive a signal quality report and determine workability of a beam, e.g., by triggering a report of channel state information.
