METHOD FOR CONFIGURING A MYOELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED PROSTHESIS SYSTEM AND PROSTHESIS SYSTEM

A method for configuring a myoelectrically controlled prosthetic system with a prosthesis socket and several lead electrodes for recording electric muscle activities, featuring the steps: placement of a surface electrode arrangement comprising several surface electrodes around the circumference of a residual limb, recording of electric muscle activity in muscles of the residual limb as electromyographic signals, said activity being recorded by the surface electrodes, evaluation of the myoelectric signals with regards to the distinctness of the signals, selection of the control procedure that is to be used to control the prosthesis system, based on the evaluation of the distinctness of the signals, and fixing of the lead electrodes to the prosthesis socket.

SINGLE AXIS ANKLE-FOOT PROSTHESIS WITH MECHANICALLY ADJUSTABLE RANGE OF MOTION

An ankle prosthesis can have a base and an upper hinge component that is pivotably attached to the base about an axis. First and second biasing elements can bias the upper hinge component in first and second rotational directions, respectively. At least one selectively extendable and retractable locking element can extend from one of the base and the upper hinge component and engage the other of the base and the upper hinge component to limit the pivotable movement of the upper hinge component.

Arm prosthetic device with antenna including housing as radiating element

A prosthetic arm apparatus including a plurality of segments that provide a user of the prosthetic arm apparatus with substantially the same movement capability and function as a human arm. The segments are connectable to one another and connectable to a prosthetic support apparatus that may be adorned by the user. A prosthetic limb segment includes a housing having an input interface and an output interface, the output interface and the input interface being moveable with respect to one another, a motorized drive disposed within the housing, the motorized drive effecting movement of at least one of the output interface or the input interface, and a controller disposed within the housing for controlling actuation of the motorized drive. The controller may be configured to communicate with at least a second motorized drive of at least a second prosthetic limb segment to control actuation thereof.
