It is herein disclosed a novel strap for a wearable electronic device and a wearable electronic device with such a strap. The strap features a first layer of microfiber and a second layer of natural or artificial leather as an outer layer. A layer of elastic adhesive attaches the first layer to the second layer.

A high strength retention loops for a wearable band of an electronic device and method of forming the retention loop. The retention loop of the wearable band may include a bottom layer, a tensile member encircling the bottom layer, and a top layer positioned adjacent to and substantially encircling the bottom layer and the tensile member. A distinct retention loop may include a single piece of folded leather material having an exterior portion, and two interior portions positioned adjacent the outer portion. The distinct retention loop may also include a tensile member positioned between the exterior portion and the two interior portions.

A customizable elastic band includes a means for coupling at least one secondary component thereto, the secondary component adapted to individualize the elastic band. In one aspect of the present invention, the elastic band includes a recess adapted to receive and hold the secondary component. A watch case for a wristwatch including a watch middle, at least one strut for supporting the watch middle, the strut extending beyond the space occupied by the watch middle, a device for removably attaching a watch strap to the strut. The watch case further includes a member for fixing the strut or one of the struts to the watch middle, the removable attachment device being formed when the strut is fixed to the watch middle, and the fixing member includes a device for detaching the strut from the watch middle, configured to allow release of the strut from the watch middle without using tools, the strut being removably fixed to the watch middle.

Multicolored flexible wearables include a first portion having a first flexible polymer forming a toroid and including colorant(s), an exposed first outer surface, an exposed second outer surface, and a recess in the first outer surface not reaching the second outer surface. A second portion formed of a second flexible polymer fills a majority of the recess and includes colorant(s). The first and second flexible polymers have different colors and are permanently bonded together. Precious material particles may be disposed within the first and/or second flexible polymers. One or more of the colorants may have a color matching a color of the precious material particles. One method of bonding the portions includes depositing a liquid second portion into the recess and then curing it. Another method includes depositing a solid second portion into the recess and then curing a liquid layer of polymer between the first portion and second portion.
