ADJUSTABLE FASTENER
A fastener comprises a length of non-elastic material having a first end and a second end; at least two apertures positioned along the length of said material; one or more fastening objects proximate said first end; said one or more fastening objects having at least a first profile and a second profile, wherein said first profile has a dimension sized to permit passage through said apertures and said second profile has a dimension sized to prohibit passage through said apertures. The fastener can bundle hair, or can be worn as a bracelet, choker or anklet.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TIMEPIECE COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a structured insert (10) for a mold for manufacturing a timepiece or jewelry component, for example a bracelet strand, including: —providing (E1) a template element (50) comprising a structured surface (51) with a pattern to be reproduced on a surface of a timepiece component; —covering (E2) the structured surface (51) of the template element (50) with a molding resin capable of reproducing a negative pattern of the pattern of the structured surface, and leaving the molding resin to solidify in order to obtain a structured insert (10); —separating (E3) the structured insert (10) from the template element (50), the structured insert (10) comprising a surface comprising the negative pattern; —optionally, cutting the structured insert (10) to the format corresponding to at least part of the timepiece component to be manufactured.
Wearable device straps and attachment hardware therefor
Low-profile latching mechanisms and related mechanical interfaces for allowing straps and other fastening accessories for limb-wearable devices are provided. The mechanisms in question allow for a very strong, yet easily releasable, connection to be made between a strap accessory and a device housing, with very little of the mechanism being visible.
SIZE-ADJUSTABLE FASHION ACCESSORY
A size-adjustable fashion accessory includes an elongated strap having a plurality of catch features, such as raised or depressed features, disposed at spaced locations along a length of the elongated strap. A retainer is disposed at a first end section of the elongated strap that is configured to receive an opposing second end section of the elongated strap to form a loop configuration. The retainer includes an engagement element that resiliently deforms against at least one of the plurality of catch features upon insertion or removal of the second end section, providing a tactile engagement, such as a click or snap, when adjusting the size of the loop configuration. The size-adjustable fashion accessory may include a decorative charm accessory or the like that may be adapted to engage the elongated strap at various locations along its length or at the retainer.
INSERTABLE ACCESSORIES FOR PROVIDING ENHANCED PERSONALIZATION OF WRIST-WEARABLE DEVICES
An insertable accessory is provided for adding enhanced personalization to wrist-wearable devices, such as watches, wrist-wearable activity/sleep monitors, and smart watches. The insertable accessory can be of a single piece of cast metal having a platform with a top and bottom side; at least one leg shaped so as to be insertable into an adjustment hole of a wristband, and attached to the bottom side of the platform; and at least one ornamental object attached to the top side of the platform. The insertable accessory can also be a single piece of cast metal having at least one leg extending from an ornamental object, such as a gem, a gem setting, a bead, a letter, a school logo. The at least one leg is shaped so as to securely engage with an adjustment hole of an attachment band of a wrist-wearable device, and can have a round or oblong cross-section.
SURVIVAL WATCH
A survival wristwatch includes a timepiece and a wristband that include integrated survival kit features for assisting a user with various survival tasks. The wristband includes a cord, or paracord, winding or braiding around a strap. The strap is uniquely designed to integrate with the cord and provide adjustability of the wristband.
OPERATION INPUT DEVICE
An operation input device having an exterior portion that includes a band portion extending in a belt shape and having flexibility and a housing; and a control unit (23) that is housed in the exterior portion and performs input processing based on a detection signal indicating detection of a predetermined operation. The operation input device is provided with a deformation detection unit that outputs a detection signal associated with a deformation of the band portion or a deformation of the housing to the control unit.
Wearable item, hinge arrangement for wearable item and method of manufacture
There is disclosed a wearable item. The wearable item includes at least one elongate member for supporting at least one attachable element. The elongate member is fabricated from an inner core that is surrounded by at least one outer layer. The at least one outer layer is elastic when strained by application of stress below a first elastic limit. The inner core is elastic when strained by application of stress below a second elastic limit or permanently deformed when strained by application of stress above the second elastic limit.
Audible wristwatch assembly
An audible wristwatch assembly for alerting a blind user of the time of day and calendar date includes a strap that is worn around a user's wrist. The strap is extended through a housing and the housing has a recess therein. An electronic clock is positioned within the housing to track the time of day and the calendar date. A speaker is coupled to the housing to emit audible sounds outwardly from the housing. An announcement button is movably coupled to the housing, and the announcement button is positioned in the recess to inhibit the announcement button from being inadvertently depressed. The speaker audibly emits the time of day and the calendar date when the announcement button is depressed to alert the user to the time of day and the calendar date.
SINGLE-PIECE WATCH BAND
The application describes a watch band and methods of manufacture and use thereof. In various embodiments, the watch band includes a first portion and a second portion continuous with the first portion. The first portion can be made of a first material and be adapted to be located directly under a back of a watch case. The second portion can include a series of rigid links formed from a second material that is different than the first material. The second portion can be adapted to wrap around the wrist of a user. In various embodiments, the watch band can feature offset links to enable the watch band to curl around a user's wrist while maintaining the watch case at a low profile above the first portion. In some cases, the watch band can include a detachment mechanism remote from where the watch band attaches to the watch case.
