Walking boot, chafe assembly, protective rim for a push-button release valve and related methods
A walking brace is provided. The walking brace includes a U-shaped malleable stay configured to hold a manually-bent shape. The walking brace includes an integral portion. The integral portion includes a footbed, a first upright disposed at a first side of the footbed and a second upright disposed on a second side of the footbed. The integral portion is overmolded onto the U-shaped malleable stay such that the U-shaped malleable stay extends through each of the footbed, the first upright and the second upright. Other walking braces are provided wherein the integral portion includes a pocket configured to receive the U-shaped malleable stay at an underside of the integral portion such that the U-shaped malleable stay extends through each of the footbed, the first upright and the second upright. A method of manufacturing a walking brace is also provided.
Ankle brace devices, systems and methods
An ankle brace including an ankle wrap assembly including a main body having an inner surface, an outer surface, a top, a bottom, a front defining a foot opening, a first side panel, a second side panel, a rear, and a bottom panel. The ankle brace includes first and second ankle pads attached to the main body; a first support attached to the main body first side panel, and a second attached to the main body second side panel, and a bottom support. The ankle brace is configured to be secured to a user's ankle when worn.
Brace having an inflation control
Systems, methods, and devices are described for providing a brace having an inflation control. The control directs fluid flow from an inflation component to one or more inflatable cells of the brace. The inflatable cells are independently inflated and deflated by the inflation component through the control. The control allows a user to create a fluid path between the inflation component and one of the inflatable cells by positioning the control in an orientation corresponding to the desired inflatable cells. Each inflatable cell is independently inflated and deflated in various orientations of the control.
MANUALLY OPERATED ROTATIVE LOCKING DEVICE FOR ORTHOPEDIC ORTHOSES OR BRACES
A blocking device (20) for fastening orthoses used in the orthopedic-rehabilitation sector to parts of the body of a person comprises a casing (21) housing a cable (40) wound on a reel (23) by the rotation of a knob (27) restrained to the casing (21) during the winding stage and partially releasable from the casing by pushing and/or pulling the knob, in order to operate with respect to a ratchet-type non-return system, wherein the ratchet-type non-return system consists of elastic tabs (32) which are part of the casing (21), and an inner toothed edge (31) of the knob (27). The knob (27) is restrained in a rotating direction and unrestrained in an axial direction with respect to the reel (23) by a pin (25) with a shaped head (25′), whereby the restraint between the knob (27) and the reel is achieved by a shaped axial opening (30) in the knob, which reflects the shape of the head (25′) of the pin (25), wherein maintaining the knob (27) in the gripping/release positions is ensured by the concave profiles (33) present on the shaped head (25′) of the pin (25) and convex surfaces (34) present in the opening (30) of the knob (27), thereby allowing the knob to be moved from a gripping condition with the ratchet-type non-return system in the tightening and blocking stage to a release condition in the opening stage while maintaining control of the cable (40) wound on the reel.
DEVICE FOR STABILISING JOINTS
The present invention relates to a device (1) for stabilising joints, comprising a receptacle (20), wherein the receptacle (20) is filled with a filling medium (30), a first body (40) for interaction with the filling medium (30), wherein the first body is arranged displaceably in the receptacle (20), a force-transmission means (50) for the transmission of an external force onto the first body (40), a second body (60) for interaction with the filling medium (30) which is arranged displaceably in the receptacle (20), wherein the second body is coupled elastically to the first body (40) via a coupling element (70), wherein at least one of the second body (60) and the first body (40) have at least one outlet opening (64) through which the filling medium (30) can flow, and wherein the first body (40) forms a valve body and the second body (60) forms a valve seat so that a flow of the filling medium (30) through the outlet opening (64) can be allowed or prevented as a function of the valve position.
Apparatus having brace assembly for muscle
An apparatus includes a brace assembly and a force-application assembly. The brace assembly includes a muscle-origin portion configured to connect proximate to a muscle origin of a muscle. The brace assembly also includes a muscle-insertion portion configured to connect proximate to a muscle insertion of the muscle. The force-application assembly is configured to connect to the muscle-origin portion and the muscle-insertion portion. The force-application assembly is also configured to extend between the muscle-origin portion and the muscle-insertion portion once coupled to do just so.
OFFLOADING DEVICE
An offloading device includes: a base structure configured to be disposed at least partially around a foot of a user; a securing component configured to secure around a leg of the user; and one or more offloading components coupled between the base structure and the securing component to offload weight from the foot of the user.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC FOOT SUPPORT
A banded support system configured to induce a windlass mechanism in a foot includes a forefoot portion configured to enclose at least a portion of a forefoot of the foot, and a band coupled to the forefoot portion. The band includes a first end extending from the forefoot portion in a first orientation, and a second end extending from the forefoot portion in the first orientation. The first end is positioned proximate the second end such that the band is substantially U-shaped. The band further includes a midpoint positioned between the first and second ends in a second orientation perpendicular to the first orientation.
Orthotic system for an ankle joint
An orthopedic brace system for bracing a joint with a dimensionally stable, flexible base body, which can be placed around the members adjoining the joint and has closure devices by way of which the base body can be fixed to the members adjoining the joint. A dimensionally stable outer frame extending over the joint is removably attached to the base body by way of adjustable fastening members, wherein the outer frame is braced on the members adjoining the joint.
