PRESCRIBED MOTION BRACE
A brace, comprising: (i) a palmar piece configured to conform to the palmar side of a user's wrist, comprising an opening sized for the user's thumb, the palmer piece further comprising a first pin extending outwardly from an outer surface of the palmar piece in a first direction, further comprising a second pin extending outwardly from the outer surface in a first direction, wherein the first and second direction are opposite one another; and (ii) a forearm piece configured to conform to the user's forearm, comprising a first pin opening sized to receive the first pin, further comprising an elongated slot configured to receive the second pin in a sliding relationship; wherein the palmar piece is moveable relative to the forearm piece such that the user can move the wrist along the user's dart thrower's plane.
ORTHOPEDIC BRACE SECURING AND TENSIONING SYSTEM
An attachment system for an orthopedic brace incorporates at least one cinching system assembly having a knob rotatable in a first direction and a second direction. At least one cinching plate is engaged by the knob for rotation in the first direction in a first orientation and transitions to a second orientation upon rotation in the second direction. A ratchet wheel is engaged by the cinching plate in the first orientation for rotation in the first direction. At least one ratchet arm engages the ratchet wheel for ratcheting operation and is engaged by the cinching plate in the second orientation for disengagement from the ratchet arm. A shaft is rotated in response to rotation of the ratchet wheel and a strap is extendible from and retractable on the shaft upon rotation of the shaft.
Knee traction apparatus
A knee traction apparatus may include an upper frame provided to be worn on a thigh region and including an upper fraction member disposed in an end of the upper frame, and a lower frame provided to be worn on a lower leg region and including a lower traction member that is disposed in an end of the lower frame and is to rotate in mesh with the upper traction member. The upper traction member and the lower traction member may be in contact with each other in front of a knee joint.
ORTHOSIS
The invention relates to an orthosis comprising: a first fastening element (15) for fastening a first orthosis component (10) to a proximal body part of a user; a second orthosis component (20) having a second fastening element (21) for being fixed to a distal body part of the user; and a joint device (30) which is located at the proximal end (22) of the second orthosis component (20) and which has a joint upper part (40) and which makes it possible for the second orthosis component (20) to pivot about a joint axis (4) in the sagittal plane relative to the joint upper part (40), the joint upper part (40) being mounted or designed on the first orthosis component (10) in a fastening device (11) so as to be pivotable and/or displaceable in the frontal plane and so as to be rotationally rigid in the sagittal plane.
APPARATUS FOR TREATING AND SUPPORTING EXTREMITIES OR A PORTION OF A BODY
A support device comprising at least one skeleton structure and at least two coupling articles, wherein each of the two coupling articles are connected to an end section of the skeleton structure, such that the support device includes at least four degrees of freedom.
Dynamic stabilizing knee support system
A knee brace assembly with a proximal compression system adapted to be secured to the thigh and a distal compression system adapted to be secured to the calf. The brace includes lateral and distal hinge assemblies connecting the proximal compression system and the distal compression system to permit rotational movement of the proximal compression system with respect to the distal compression system. At least one inelastic strap extends around the proximal compression system and the distal compression system. The strap is leveraged to tighten the proximal compression system and the distal compression system to compress soft tissue in the thigh and calf when the leg is extended, but to release the proximal compression system and the distal compression system when the leg is in flexion.
JOINT ASSEMBLY AND MOTION ASSISTANCE APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A joint assembly may include a first rolling cam that includes a first cam portion, and a first extension extending from the first cam portion, and a second rolling cam that includes a second cam portion to be in contact with the first cam portion, and a second extension extending from the second cam portion.
Orthopedic device
An orthopedic device for the orthotic or prosthetic provision of a patient. The orthopedic device includes a knee joint which has a proximal upper part and a distal lower part arranged pivotably thereon, an ankle joint, a pivoted foot part which can be fastened distally to the ankle joint, and a shin part arranged between the ankle joint and the knee joint. The upper part of the knee joint or a thigh part fastened thereto that can be attached to the patient's body and is coupled with the foot part by means of a force transfer device, which causes a plantar flexion of the foot part when a knee is flexed.
LOWER LIMB ARTICULATION FOR BIPEDAL LOCOMOTION
Some embodiments are directed to a lower limb articulation for bipedal locomotion, which includes a first element a second element and articulation devices for articulating the first and second elements relative to one another, the articulation devices including an articulation mechanism including first and second linking devices mounted in series, as well as devices for guiding and locking in position one of the first and second elements relative to the other one of the first and second elements when the lower limb comes to rest on a surface, the devices for locking in position including a potential trough.
