Apparatus for stabilizing body joints and/or supporting items of sports equipment
Disclosed is an apparatus for stabilizing body joints and/or for supporting items of sports equipment, comprising: a receptacle, wherein the receptacle is filled with a filling medium, a first body for interacting with the filling medium, wherein the first body is displaceably arranged in the receptacle, a force transmission body for transmitting an external force to the first body, a second body for interacting with the filling medium, which is displaceably arranged in the receptacle, wherein the second body is elastically coupled to the first body via a coupling element, wherein the second body and/or the first body has at least one passage opening, through which the filling medium can flow, and wherein the first body forms a valve body and the second body forms a valve seat, such that a flow of the filling medium through the passage opening can be permitted or inhibited as a function of the valve position, wherein, in a displacement direction relative to the first body, the second body overlaps therewith.
ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE
An orthopedic device, first and second struts, and a range-of-motion limiting pivot assembly connecting to the first and second struts. The pivoting assembly having an engagement member linked to a tab disposed and arranged for pulling radially outward away from a central axis of the pivoting assembly for adjusting the range of motion of the pivoting assembly.
Hinge Brace
A hinge brace system including a first upright, a second upright, a gear, a cam, and a pin associated with each of the first upright and second upright, and a dial assembly opposite the gear housing. The dial assembly includes a dial base and a dial flange, the dial flange configured to rotatably step the cam, causing the gear to step about the gear housing. The gear further includes a limit marking, the limit marking extruding from the gear into a slot of the upright and preventing the upright from travelling beyond a desired angle, the angle preventing rotation of the hinge brace system in at least one of extension and flexion.
BRACE HINGE WITH TELESCOPING PAD
A hinge which can be included on a brace is disclosed. The hinge can include a first arm, a second arm, and a hinge plate. The first and second arms can be connected to the hinge plate for rotation about first and second axes, respectively. The hinge plate can include an internally threaded aperture. The hinge can also include a force application assembly and an adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly can include an externally threaded lead screw engaged with the internally threaded aperture, and having a medial end connected to the force application assembly and a keyed bore. The adjustment assembly can include a drive key having a keyed shaft slidingly engaged with the keyed bore and a knob connected to the drive key such that rotation of the knob causes displacement of the force application assembly.
Tiltable articulated joint brace
The disclosure relates to a tiltable joint brace for a joint orthesis, comprising: two articulated limbs pivotably mounted on each other in a bearing arrangement, wherein the head of the first articulated limb supports a bearing arrangement which can be connected to the head of the second articulated limb by non-positive and positive fit in order to form the pivot joint. A curved sliding surface is formed on the bearing arrangement, and the head rests on the curved sliding surface with positive fit. There, the second articulated limb can tilt freely toward the pivot axis of the joint brace against the first articulated limb.
SUSPENSION BOOT
Methods, devices, and systems are described for a foot suspension system configured to offload weight from a foot of a user. The foot suspension system includes a boot shaped to receive at least a part of the foot of the user, the boot including a bottom inner surface. The foot suspension system further includes a sleeve configured to secure to a lower appendage of the user to assist with suspending at least the part of the foot above the bottom inner surface of the boot. The foot suspension system further comprises at least one vertical bar with a first end positioned adjacent to the boot and a second end of the at least one vertical bar positioned
ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE HAVING WRAP AND SINGLE STRAP
The orthopedic device includes an articulating frame including a thigh portion including a curved thigh cuff, a calf portion including a curved calf cuff, and a center hinge connecting the thigh portion and the calf portion. A strap includes a calf end segment securely attachable to the calf portion. A suspension segment is adjacent to the calf end segment. A thigh end segment is securely attachable to the thigh portion. A spiraling segment is adjacent to the thigh end segment. An intermediate segment formed of webbing material is between the suspension segment and the spiraling segment. The clip engages the intermediate segment. The clip is engageable with a clip receptacle positioned on the calf portion. During use, the suspension segment lays across the top part of the calf minimizing migration. The intermediate segment facilitates movement of the strap through the clip adjusting the spiraling segment and the suspension segment.
Adjustable tensioning device
An adjustable tensioning device capable of providing and holding high tensions needed for medical devices, prosthetics, and orthotics.
Orthotic clubfoot device and method
A dual-adjustable orthotic device to treat clubfoot and methods for using same. The device comprises a pair of paddles, adapted to attach footwear, attached at opposing ends of an adjustable torque bar the device has independent configuration systems to adjust the angle at which the paddles are oriented to the bar, and to adjust the torque loading applied to the paddles. These systems facilitate the independent adjustment of the device settings without changing the tensioning mechanism, stocking multiple devices, or having to disassemble and reassemble the tensioning structures.
Unloading knee brace apparatus with conforming and distracting hinge
An adjustable tension knee brace for unloading weight from a knee joint afflicted with osteoarthritis, thus reducing pain and improving mobility, comprising: an upper and lower frame connected by an unloading hinge assembly, optionally comprising a sensor and processor allowing for remote or automatic control of brace tension. In embodiments, the brace includes a user mechanism that is capable of adjusting a tensioning element while the brace is being worn. In other embodiments, electronic motors, sensors, and indicators may be included in the brace to improve brace performance and user interaction.
