ADJUSTABLE NECK REHABILITATION AND EXERCISE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USE
A neck rehabilitation apparatus is disclosed. The neck rehabilitation apparatus may include a ring-shaped neck piece including a plurality of slots formed through the neck piece, and a ring-shaped chest piece including a plurality of slots formed through the chest piece. The apparatus may include at least four adjustable support members. Each adjustable support member may include a first end configured to engage with at least one slot formed through the neck piece, a second end configured to engage with at least one slot formed through the chest piece, a telescoping member configured to be adjustably moved to a selected position, and a telescoping member locking mechanism configured to lock the telescoping member at the selected position. The neck rehabilitation apparatus may provide varying degrees of support during rehabilitation of head and/or neck muscles and vertebrae.
Heel protector and corresponding rehabilitation systems and methods for using the same
A heel protector (100) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102) intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section (101) and the foot engaging section (102) define a leg insertion aperture (104). The leg engaging section (101) defines at least one aperture (203) disposed in an ankle region (205) to permit a connection tube (1002) extending from an inflatable bladder (901) of a compression device (800) to pass therethrough. The heel protector (100) and compression device (800) work together as a rehabilitation system (1300).
Emergency limb fixation or restraining device
A method of splinting limbs of a patient by a single person and an elongated splint device, for use in the method. The splint device has a first track member and second and third elongated riding members movably held and positioned on the first track member. The riding members are freely movable on the first track member along a single longitudinal axis to obtain a proper length for splinting and a releasable locking mechanism is included to maintain the selected length. Two or more adjustable belt elements are removably connected to the riding member and serve to affix the splint device to a patient in a proper splinting position.

Intermaxillary Fixation Device And Method Of Using Same
A medical apparatus including a bar with a first attachment loop, a second attachment and a plurality of hooks, wherein the medical apparatus is an arch bar.
Method of manufacture of custom headwear by additive manufacturing
A method for fabricating a custom headwear for a subject is described. The method comprises generating a three-dimensional head data file for the subject and determining contour lines on the head; automatically generating a headwear data file. The method further comprises juxtaposing the headwear represented by the headwear data file with the head represented by the three-dimensional head data file having the contour lines thereon. The method yet further comprises utilizing the headwear data file to generate a shape for a desired headwear, the shape having an interior surface to contact the head and an outer surface. Still further, the method comprises projecting lines outward from the contour lines to the outer surface; and utilizing the projected lines to establish headwear contour lines for the custom headwear.
SPLINT DEVICE AND SPLINT SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
A splint device includes a thin-walled strip as a stiffening component. A first fiber material is disposed on one side of the thin-walled strip. The splint device also includes a strap of a second fiber material. The one and the other fiber material function in combination as a hook and loop fastener.
ORTHOSIS FOR PLACEMENT ON A HUMAN HAND
The invention relates to an orthosis (1) for wearing on a human hand (2) to restrict motion of at least the carpometacarpal joint (CMCj) of the thumb and preferably also of the metacarpophalangeal joint (MCPj) of the thumb (2-1), the orthosis (1) comprising a metacarpus section (3), which, when the orthosis (1) is worn on a hand, extends across the metacarpals of digits 2-5, and a thumb section (4), which section is curved or annular in shape and fits around the thumb (2-1), preferably around the proximal phalanx (6) of the thumb (2-1). The thumb section (4) is connected to the metacarpus section (3) via a thumb metacarpal section (7) that, when the orthosis (1) is worn on a hand (2), extends along and/or around the thumb metacarpal (8).
SUPPORT STRAP FOR A KNEE IMMOBILIZING SPLINT
A support strap for a knee immobilizing splint with a segment along its length to receive the knee of a wearer. The strap has a hook fixed to a first end that engages an upper part of the splint. The other end of the strap has a connection assembly for attaching the strap to a belt of a wearer so the belt and hook are fixed at a certain distance from each other. This distance is such that the splint is held so the knee of the wearer is at the knee segment of the splint and the splint is prevented from sliding down the leg of the wearer while standing or walking.
Splint kit set
The splint kit provides a sealed splint, bandaging, and a water source for setting the splint. Different kits may be needed depending upon the size of the user to which the splint will be applied. The kits may also vary according to the body part to be set. The size of each splint is based upon the size of the user and the size of the body part(s) to be splinted to eliminate the need for the user to size the splint. The splint is self-contained in its own packaging to maintain the integrity of the splint. The fiberglass/hardening material is encased by a foam material and/or felt to further simplify the process of applying and setting the splint.
