A rescue strap is provided with a plurality of strap loops that wraps around the torso of a patient and is fed through one of the strap loops to make a girth hitch around the patient's torso. The rescue strap then wraps around the patient's upper legs and through another strap loop making another girth hitch to lift from the hips.

The shoulder support may also include an abduction pad. In which case the arm support includes an elongate flexible extension affixed to the arm support and extendable outward from the arm support and positionable to be folded about the abduction pad.

A bolster (24) is positioned between the patient and the arm support (22). A body strap (26) extends around the patient and attaches to the arm support (22) and/or the bolster (24), holding the arm support and bolster in position against the body of the patient. In embodiments, the shoulder immobilizer (20) may utilize a shoulder strap (28), but such a shoulder strap is not necessary for shoulder immobilization of the patient.

An elbow-receiving sleeve of flexible sheet-like material is attached in the upper bag mouth and can be opened into a generally frustoconical form, for supporting a bent elbow such that, in use, both forearm and upper arm extend from an outer end elbow-receiving sleeve. In a closed state the elbow-receiving sleeve is flattened such that opposing halves of the elbow-receiving sleeve come together.

SHOULDER REHABILITATION BRACE
