METHODS AND DEVICES TO PREVENT PREMATURE BIRTH, STILLBIRTH, MISCARRIAGE, INFECTION, OR PREGNANCY
Methods and devices to control movement of microorganisms, sperm or viruses within a female reproductive system, including methods and devices for preventing infection or pregnancy. Devices may include a cervical barrier that is configured to allow biological fluids to exit the uterus and cervical canal while preventing the ascension of microorganisms, sperm or viruses into the cervical canal and uterus.
Menstrual disc and methods of use
Provided herein are systems, methods and apparatuses for a Menstrual disc.
COLLAPSIBLE MENSES COLLECTING APPARATUS
A menses collecting apparatus includes a basin and a closure. The basin may transition between a collapsed or folded state prior to insertion by a user and an expanded or unfolded state after insertion by the user. The menses collecting apparatus may be collapsible/closed radially prior to insertion by the user, and may collect menses in the expanded state after insertion by the user. The closure may also transition between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The closure may be collapsible/folded when transitioning between the open configuration and the closed configuration. When the basin is in the expanded state, the closure may also be in an open configuration or the closed configuration. The menses collecting apparatus may employ a tension-based mechanism to transition between the different basin states and closure configurations. The menses collecting apparatus may be configurable to fit within an applicator to assist in the insertion of the menses collecting apparatus.
Reusable Dual Durometer Polymeric Menstrual Discharge Collection Device
A reusable menstrual discharge collection device is described comprising: dual durometer article that forms a menstrual discharge disc-shaped collection device with a half spherical dome catch where the half spherical dome catch includes a continuous circumferential top and bottom portion, and wherein the continuous top portion is attached to a continuous uniform flexible hinge that is placed along an entire circumferential uniform upper portion of the half spherical dome catch and wherein the hinge also forms a base for and is connected to a 360-degree continuous uniform circumferential rim section such that the hinge allows the half spherical dome catch to be in both an inverted use position/configuration that allows movement of the catch toward the rim section allowing for adjustability to fit multiple cervix physiologies and the elongated configuration allows for ease of manufacturing and cleaning.
MENSTRUAL CUP
A menstrual cup for insertion into a vaginal canal having a vaginal wall for prevention of leakage of menstrual blood may include: a body having an accommodating cavity portion opened upward is formed; a concave portion extending from the upper end of the body to gradually decrease in diameter; and a circular guide rib extending from an upper end of the concave portion to gradually increase in diameter. It can be easily inserted into the vagina so that it is deformable, and the size of the insertion direction is reduced. Not only it is effective, but when inserted it into the vagina, the circular guide rib comes into close contact with the inner wall of the vagina by restoring force for preventing a menstrual blood from leaking.
CATAMENIAL FLUID REMOVAL
The invention provides a device for aspirating uterine fluid of a woman in her period, enabling her, without using tampons, pads or synthetic hormones, to be free of menstrual flow for six or more hours and to be involved in even the most demanding activities entirely undisturbed.
APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USING AN INTRA-VAGINAL FLUID COLLECTION DEVICE
Arrangements described herein relate to a device for collecting intravaginal fluid. The device is defined by a hollow collector and a flexible fluid collection bag, wherein the device is configured such that when inserted into the vagina, the hollow collector forms a seal with the inner walls of the vagina, while the fluid collection bag extends outside the body. By allowing fluid to collect outside the body rather than inside the, the device is permitted to be narrow in diameter (such as, for example, the diameter of a tampon), to increase user comfort. Flaps at the opening of the hollow collector may be used to seal fluid within the device when it is extracted from the body.
ANATOMICAL MENSTRUAL CUP
Disclosed is an anatomical menstrual cup that has in its lower part a deformable hollow beak shape forming two symmetrical convex grip zones with respect to the X axis that passes through the center of the menstrual cup, where both grip zones contain a lip that allows to press, pull and rotate to facilitate manipulation of the menstrual cup.
Grooved menstrual cup, production method thereof, and associated disinfection method and kit
The menstrual cup includes an upper opening and a receptacle having a body with a curved longitudinal shape and a base. The cup extends longitudinally from the opening to the base and has an inner surface corresponding to the concave portion of the receptacle, and an outer surface corresponding to the convex portion of the receptacle. The body includes at least one hollow longitudinal groove on the inner surface of the body and at least one solid longitudinal groove on the outer surface of the body, aligned with the hollow longitudinal groove on the inner surface. The invention also relates to an associated kit and a method for disinfecting the menstrual cup.
EXPANDABLE AND RETRACTABLE MENSTRUAL CUP
A menstrual cup is provided whose body can expand to reveal an interior cavity in an open position configured to receive menstrual fluids and that can retract to a closed position such that the interior cavity of the menstrual cup is contained by the sides and body of the menstrual cup and any contained fluids are prevented from leaking out. A hook is coupled to a bottom surface of the body of the menstrual cup and can be pulled upon to close the menstrual cup and pushed upwards to open the menstrual cup. The retractability of the menstrual cup facilitates insertion into the vaginal cavity and removal without spillage of menstrual fluids. The menstrual cup includes a body with retractable sides that can close inwardly. A user can grasp the hook to manipulate the body of the menstrual cup from either a closed position or an open position.
